Hillary 2016 will be deeply disappointed. I'm sure they were just waiting for the right moment (assuming Ted wins the nomination which is like a 4% chance of happening).

The sooner someone files suit again Ted, the better for him. Cruz needs to get this resolved or it will haunt for the rest of his campaign (so about another month). Cruz should be thanking Trump and not calling him childish names.

Trump has already lost my wife’s vote with some of his antics.
He’s pi$$ing me off too.
Be careful Donald.

Or “If I can’t win on policy, I will look for a legal loophole!”.

Is this Trump’s political version of his “file bankruptcy to clean up my mess” business strategy?

Of course he is.......lawsuits have been Trumps way of life and a major element of his financial successes, not only that it’s the New York way.

I know a very recent event regarding Trump and how he put it to contract construction workers. I have every reason to believe it and it was ugly. Won’t go into what happened, but many took great losses. He set them up and then brought his lawyers in to finish the job.

This is getting downright embarrassing. You Trump people need to get out while you still have some dignity. I know how it feels. I supported someone similar. Remember Arnold Schwarzenegger? We could have had Tom McClintock as Governor. But oh nooo. Arnold was going to save California. We sure were fooled.

Trump is all talk. As a Cruz backer, I would welcome him filing suit against Cruz. Go ahead, big mouth, make my day!

No one has standing to sue over any aspect of “running for President”, since no such activity is recognized by the US Constitution.

If a person who receives >270 electoral votes is ineligible to the office (for example, by lacking NBC status), rival candidates who also received electoral votes (but not ones who didn’t) could, in theory, have standing to sue.

I hope he does. If Trump could get a court to make a determination on this, then he would’ve already done more for us than anyone else out there.

Maybe “The Donald” should ask Mark Levin for clarification.

"Presidential candidate Donald Trump told ABC's George Stephanopoulos that he'll consider filing a lawsuit against Ted Cruz regarding his U.S. citizenship."

And THAT makes like Cruz more then ever......

Trump truly is some kind of a schmuck.....

Sounds about right. Trump did say that a Democrat would file a legal challenge against Cruz.

How many of you actually watched this interview?

George egged Trump and threw this at him several times and ways. Trump finally agreed that he ‘might’ look at the possibility. There’s a big difference between statements made by a candidate and gotcha questions asked by some hack.

Why not file against Rubio also? Isn't he an anchor baby? He seems to be skating on the whole NBC issue .

It does need to be settled once and for all.

Trump is right to sue. Here's at least four reasons why Cruz is wrong...

1) The "natural born citizen" requirement originated in John Jay's July 25, 2787 letter to George Washington, the only historical document directly related to the natural born citizen requirement as used in the Constitution. It means "not a foreigner." Anyone born a foreign citizen/subject is ineligible, including born dual citizens (e.g., Cruz, Obama).

2) The US State Department warns very clearly what the problems of automatically acquired dual citizenship are: owing allegiance to more than one country, legal obligation to obey both countries' laws, either country's valid legal right to enforce their laws upon their own citizens/subjects (including mandatory military service).
US State Department on problems of dual citizens

3) The Founding Fathers were well aware of the dangers of those born dual citizens. Prime example: the impressment of US citizens into service in the British Royal Navy in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

4) The 1790 law was repealed in 1795. In the new 1795 law, the "natural born" designation was eliminated (see Sec. 3). No law since then designates those born outside the US to US citizen parents to be natural born citizens. Congress had the chance to do so in 2004, but did not.

If he does, Cruz or an friend should file suit right back to challenge Trump’s NBC status.
