Donald Trump‘s tweetstorm against Ted Cruz today culminated in him posting a photo of the rubble after the 9/11 attack:
Is this the New York that Ted Cruz is talking about & demeaning? pic.twitter.com/rYGX9vazku — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 16, 2016 |
And boy, did a lot of people have a problem with that:
I didn't like @tedcruz's "New York values" trope. But this vulgar exploitation of 9/11 by @realDonaldTrump is worse. https://t.co/TLYvEJQ0Qe — Bill Kristol (@BillKristol) January 16, 2016 |
No, this is the New York of a heroism & sacrifice that @realDonaldTrump has never demonstrated or even appreciated. https://t.co/TLYvEJQ0Qe — Bill Kristol (@BillKristol) January 16, 2016 |
Even Giuliani was better than this. Although just barely. https://t.co/4Qjer4qxj8 — Allahpundit (@allahpundit) January 16, 2016 |
.@realDonaldTrump See? I'll use some tragedy to further MY goals. I have no shame. I want to win this bitch and will do whatever it takes! — Fake Donald Trump (@TheFakeTrump) January 16, 2016 |
@realDonaldTrump ANYONE TO DUMB TO BELIEVE TED CRUZ WAS TALKING ABOUT THE P8C ABOVE AND NOT ABOUT NY'S LIBERALS THEN YOUR TOO DUMB TO VOTE. — RANDY FORREST (@FORREST077) January 16, 2016 |
@realDonaldTrump @ArmorCavSpin No it's the one that elected Bloomberg, Cuomo and DeBlasio. The leftist, asshat totalitarian NY. — Marcus Porcius (@Marcus_Porcius) January 16, 2016 |
. @realDonaldTrump My respect for you is going the the same direction as your bullshit attacks on @tedcruz . Down in the gutter … — brockasso (@itsmebrock) January 16, 2016 |
No, it's this one. RT @realDonaldTrump: Is this the New York that Ted Cruz is talking about & demeaning? pic.twitter.com/GLODa1COGR — STU BURGUIERE (@WorldOfStu) January 16, 2016 |
@realDonaldTrump alright….enough milking 9/11….its getting distasteful already — Greg (@PrairieDevil) January 16, 2016 |
@realDonaldTrump And stop pimping out the worst terrorist attack in US History because your poll numbers are dropping. — Jesse Kelly (@JesseKellyDC) January 16, 2016 |
He's a jerk...just as people have always said....an entertainer who doesn't know when to stop unless someone ties a rope around his feet and drags him down enough to listen to common sense.
The guys got emotional issues he has difficulty keeping in control....lashing out is how he deals with them because he gets "relief" from that discomfort. At 70 years old he's no spring chicken and he won't be controlling them at this late stage of his life.
I worked for a man who was just like Trump....you will indeed walk on pins and needles when they're around....and they are masters at concealing just how nasty they can be with those they want to impress....
Newt for VP would be a brilliant choice. Newt is loved by Conservatives. And he is the reason many Republicans refused to vote for Romney. Newt would have exposed Obama in the debates.
Trump Newt ticket would continue to solidify Trumps eventual win in both the primary and general. Newt won South Carolina and then Romney started putting all his plants in the debate audience. They were hoping to use the same playbook to get Jeb the nomination that they used for Romney.
It would be exciting to see Newt be the VP nom and for Romney to have to deal with it.
BUT! BUT! BUT! Trump is a deal maker.
He’ll be making deals with the democrats he helped get elected and advance their agenda.
OH wait!
That’s what got us here.
Trump can only throw barbs and innuendos because he can’t debate intelligently on the real issues and present coherent solutions!
No he isn't. And you had better hope Trump isn't stupid enough to choose him.
“Long ago it was suggested that Trump was in this so Hillary could win it;’
I still say he is.
Trumps attacks on Cruz have been ratcheted up the more and more as Hillary’s legal problems bubble up.
Attacking their enemies with BS claims of wrongdoing to divert attention from their own has been a Clinton standard Operating Procedure for over 24 years.
Newt might be disliked by some Rinos, but he is well liked by Conservatives.
The Rino Mitt Romney was the nominee last cycle and he lost big time because conservatives were not interested.
Let Newt have the microphone on the National Stage with Trump, let Newt be front and center as VP and it will be MUST SEE TV as he is able to slice through liberal media talking points and he makes the Libs nervous because they know they cannot keep up with his brain power.
Trump has said Hillary belongs in jail but will likely not be charged. Trump has faced the liberal media on live tv numerous time stating Hillary belongs in jail.
Trying to link Trump to Clinton is a joke. He is her worst critic. And Trump gets free airtime to expose her and is not afraid to say she is unqualified to be President. Trump rented out a movie theater in Iowa to show the Benghazi movie for free. He is just getting started on Hillary but is holding some of he greatest criticisms of her for the general election.
So weird how people think they can try to tie Trump to being a Clinton supporter when he bashes her and her husband on a daily basis. Trump put Bill Clinton on leash with just a few sound bytes when Hillary tried to play the female card against Trump.
You and lifelong liberal Donald Trump may like him but conservatives do not. btw...where are you, India or South Africa?
I’m New York born and raised. I LOVE New York. It has an energy I can’t find anywhere else.
But Cruz is 100 percent right. I didn’t find his comments offensive at all. What I did find offensive was Trump’s cheap exploitation of 9/11. And I LOVED Tedâs “apology”!
Newt won the South Carolina primary. He may not be Trumps VP, but he would be a brilliant pick if Trump decides to choose him.
Trump got SCHLONGED then, that’s for sure!
India or SA?
.
Are you really that insane?
It had nothing to do with 9-11 until Trump tried to twist Cruz’ 4 bag home run comment.
F___ New York and their anti American ‘values’ and Real Eastate swindlers.
.
Exactly what???
Trump is a devious pile of crap for trying that trick.
We don’t need garbage like that in the White House again.
It is likely that Trump will be the nominee. Had hoped Cruz would be the VP. That does not seem like it will happen now unfortunately, Looking forward, Newt Gingrich would be an outstanding choice for VP. And others agree. Others disagree. In the end it will be Trumps decision, just hope he chooses the right VP.
At least get your facts straight. Marla didn’t confront Trump...Ivana was confronting both of them.
I remember this, as I recall something about Ivana (champion skier, at one time) reportedly skiing down the mountain, backwards giving Donald the what for.
So what? I thought it was none of my business then, and think the same way, now.
