Ted Cruz has taken more heat for his comments about “New York values†than he has anything else he has said since he was elected in 2012. Naturally, since most of the mainstream media is based out of New York, it has been high horse riding time as so many have gotten their panties in a wad over the comments. Ironically, they take more offense at what Cruz said than in Donald Trump’s blatant birtherism. Being a birther is cool now that it’s not Barack Obama who is the subject of Trump’s comments.
Unfortunately for Trump, who deftly (but at the same time shamelessly) evoked 9/11 as a means of responding to Ted Cruz’s comments, he cannot escape the very things he has said over the course of the last 15 years. Trump, as I have said on prior occasions is a charlatan. He is not a conservative at all. He is not now and never has been one. Outside of immigration (which is far more based on phony populism than policy), his views on taxes, healthcare, foreign policy and trade carry all the hallmarks of a progressive Democrat.

Really? Does it matter? The Corker bill turned the three-fourths treaty vote protection on its head, and required a three-fourths vote to defeat it. Cruz voted for the Corker bill.

Trump was pro-abortion and pro gay marriage and gays in the military until Romney lost the election in 2012. He did a 180 degree turn and copyrighted the slogan “Make America Great Again” the same year.
His slogan should have been “There’s a Sucker Born Every Minute”.
I have zero respect for people who go back in time to trash Ronald Reagan in order to support a man who couldn’t shine Reagan’s shoes.

He’s going to be the first candidate to actually make money running for President. You know those MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN hats - he’s selling those for $25 dollars gods sake. There’s no way it costs $25 to make a hat. That is the most outrageous thing ever. Everyone sending him $25 for a hat is getting ripped off. Why do they do that???

Whether or not Trump lies does nothing to change the fact that Ted Cruz was caught in multiple lies, and those lies may reasonably be found to discredit his efforts to portray himself as a ‘true conservative” or representing the conservative values we are being denied by the Uniparty. If you cannot trust Ted Cruz to tell the truth about so many things, including his lack of eligibility under the natural born citizen clause of the Constitution, you can hardly expect him to not renege on his promises to faithfully represent the conservative platform. As soon as he no longer needs the conservatives to put him into power, a poser can toss aside the past promises and effectively sabotage every effort to reform the Federal government to reflect conservative political values.
The general consensus around here these days is that Trump is the Messiah and Cruz is Satan.
I said yesterday that I am an EX new your resident. I knew exactly what Cruz was talking about and WHO he was talking about. I left NY 20 years ago, when Ted was still in law school so he played no part in my choice to improve my life.
Lots of EX NY’ers are EX for a reason. NY ‘values’. And most of us could GAF what happens to that liberal rathole. The smartest thing a conservative in NY could do is follow the advice of their own Governor who told them to get out, in a display of ‘NY Values’ a mere year’ish ago.
Seriously? It’s a right of a woman and her God to determine this? Might as well say “it’s the right of a woman and her God to determine if murdering her cheating spouse is ok” I mean, we haven’t walked a mile in her shoes either.

Cruz is the only true conservative in this race and he is treated on this forum as if he is a liberal pig.
Trump is a showman who might have a few conservative positions but his track record on supporting conservative issues is mighty thin.

Sarah Palin came into Texas to support Ted Cruz. It’s one reason he won the senate race. Not sure why she’s supporting Trump now.
As for Cruz, perhaps he spoke intentionally about New York City Values knowing how Trump would respond. Cruz knows he may get alot of money but not votes. There is only 1 person who could win New York and that is Donald.
It seems like a Kabuki Theater with these 2 to come against the Establishment. Now the media is also biting.
Just makes me think these 2 are up to something. I love both Donald and Cruz. We will never have a perfect candidate except Jesus, but I do not see him running in this election.

Absolutely. The conservative media sphere is currently split between Cruz and Trump and I give the advantage to Trump. Rush and Hannity will try to push people towards Cruz, but I highly doubt they will throw Trump under the bus... He’s too good for their bottom line, and Trump is very good to his friends and ruthless to his enemies.
As a Breitbart writer you know Trump drives clicks/ratings/views and that means $$$. Cruz doesn’t have the same star appeal, and that means less support.
My guess: Trump is downing Cruz right now but a week before Iowa he will most likely switch to attacking the Clintons again sucking all the oxygen out of the media and making everything about Trump vs Clinton.
You’ll have to help me out. How does anyone know what Trump voted for personally? We know how Cruz votes in office.

He’s made it clear his whole life who and what he supports. It’s not secret. He has the right to keep it secret, but he hasn’t done so.
