Cruz Releases Video Of Trump Talking New York Values And Partial Birth Abortion Support
Redstate ^ | 1/16/2016 | Jay Caruso

Ted Cruz has taken more heat for his comments about “New York values” than he has anything else he has said since he was elected in 2012. Naturally, since most of the mainstream media is based out of New York, it has been high horse riding time as so many have gotten their panties in a wad over the comments. Ironically, they take more offense at what Cruz said than in Donald Trump’s blatant birtherism. Being a birther is cool now that it’s not Barack Obama who is the subject of Trump’s comments.

Unfortunately for Trump, who deftly (but at the same time shamelessly) evoked 9/11 as a means of responding to Ted Cruz’s comments, he cannot escape the very things he has said over the course of the last 15 years. Trump, as I have said on prior occasions is a charlatan. He is not a conservative at all. He is not now and never has been one. Outside of immigration (which is far more based on phony populism than policy), his views on taxes, healthcare, foreign policy and trade carry all the hallmarks of a progressive Democrat.

I support both, but I think Trump the one better suited to make an impact
at this particular time.

Trump is running as a Conservative, and he espouses the correct stances on the issues he
pounds at his rallies. Although he may have said much at an earlier time that could go
against what he says now, I am willing to take him at his word now.

I am prepared to accept how this race unfolds. I believe both candidates are on our side.

Conservatives are supposed to support this partial-birth abortion supporting liberal?

No way in hell, not even if he runs against the AntiChrist. I wouldn’t dirty myself by voting for Trump.

Reagan was never “ pro abortion “ and that is a slander of a fine man. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Thanks for bringing that up ... about Cruz’ senate victory over Dewhurst.

Cruz was almost unknown when he started to run. Dewhurst was well known. It’s an uncanny similarity to this presidential race.

Trump has been known for years... his name is an noun. He had a reality show. He made billions. He wasn’t God but he was close.

I’m sorry to say that I voted for Dewhurst but it didn’t take me long to realize that we sent the far better man to the senate... a man who actually did what he promised to do.

In spite of making enemies of the establishment Republicans, Ted held fast to and fought for his principles and our principles.

He will do so as president.

“Cruz is the only true conservative in this race and he is treated on this forum as if he is a liberal pig.”

By definition a “true conservative” does not lie. Ted Cruz lied to the audience in the debate. That lie was a cynical attempt to deceive the listeners with a strawman argument that misrepresented the definition being used for the citizenship of the parents of a natural born citizen. This and other falsehoods ranging from his financial loans to his positions on illegal immigration and more demonstrate a pattern of deceit and hypocrisy that are inconsistent with the moral values of the “true conservative’ you ave mentioned.

Trump insults people and it’s hailed as being “the death of PC”. Ted Cruz throws Trump’s own words back at him and he’s a demon/hypocrite/slimy pig.

Did you catch Cruz’s “apology” to the people of New York on Hannity’s radio show yesterday? It was pure gold.

That's irrelevant. Donald Trump distrusts others with his money. How many stories are there of him personally helping those in need?

The trumpets claiming the mantle of Reagan cannot be ashamed, because they have no shame. No moral compass. No logical coherence.

Cruz is a good guy. I’m glad we have two good non-GOPe candidates to choose from.

“After all Trump just loves San Fran Nan and her San Francisco values.”

So does Cruz when he hits them up for money.

What makes you think that Trump isn't doing a slick double talking routine? Is there a single conservative position that Trump holds today that he didn't oppose yesterday? Cruz stood on his feet for 24 hours to filibuster Obama care. Trump said we should have gone single payer (Hillary Care) instead.

Cruz literally stood up for Conservatives. What has Trump done other than spew a bunch of meaningless words that he most likely doesn't believe himself.

Cruz screwed up on a few issues, but his lifetime of fighting for Conservative causes is unmatched among all the candidates.

Cruz has memorized the entire constitution. Has Trump even read it once?

Is trump currently pro-life??

https://youtu.be/MzGrSYWAkxg

Look at this video from January, 2015. He SAYS he’s “pro-life.”

But when asked, given his three exceptions, if abortion should be illegal, he replies:

“IT DEPENDS WHEN.”

Does that sound pro-life?

This was at the Iowa Freedom Summit in January of LAST YEAR. AFTER his alleged conversion.

“IT DEPENDS WHEN!”
