No he isn't. Those loans, which were not fully disclosed and were obscured from public knowledge, tear to shreds the narrative of his being a grass roots campaign, only supplemented by true conservatives who wouldn't want to influence him. Add to that Senator Cruz insulted New Yorkers, that after being given warm welcomes by New York. Those insults might really have upset Trump.
Cruz has to put his arms around it, own it. The loans are a deal breaker. They shred the narrative and put into question his honesty and judgement.
Cruz is focusing on the issues while Trump responds with personal attacks.
Trump, like the Democrat politicians he supports, likes to engage in the politics of personal destruction.
You are right about the Cruz and the grassroots facade. I heard him on Hannity a few days before the debate. He kept talking about the donations under 50 dollars and how his campaign was “true” grassroots. I have no doubt that he didn’t want these loans to be public knowledge.
The loans were reported on his personal disclosure forms in the US Senate. Those are public record.
Why is it that when Cruz quotes Trumps words right back at him he’s “attacking” all of New York and insulting them, but Trump can inslut a disabled reporter... or any reporter that disagrees with him and be lauded for being un-PC.
The values expressed by New York officials are NOT the values of conservatives.
