I have not made the claim he tried to stop it.

It was voted into law in California in 1994. (I believe it was)

What bothered me about Cruz was that years later he was helping Bush talk ill of it.

Either Ted was urging a policy on Bush, or he was simply helping him draft a good way to dis it.

It was a State’s Rights issue. Why would Ted play into this mindset? He doesn’t believe in State’s Rights?

You understand that Cruz as a lawyer worked for Bush. And therefore follows policy set by Bush. That’s how it works. So do we now have a purity test that if you work for an administration that you are personally held accountable for all the bosses policies? When Palin accepted running as VP she was forced to follow the bosses policy then too. Many of McCain’s positions weren’t hers. But her job is to promote the bosses policy, not hers. Is that a bridge too far now?
