The battle between Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Donald Trump over âNew York valuesâ turned into all-out war Friday when leading New York Democrats and Republicans blasted Cruz and the candidate issued a sneering âapologyâ ratcheting up his attacks on the Big Apple.
âYouâre right. Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and Andrew Cuomo and Bill de Blasioâ have asked him to apologize, Cruz told reporters.
âI apologize to the millions of New Yorkers whoâve been let down by liberal politicians,â he needled.

Cool. All us in Flyover know exactly what he meant.
Seems to me that when you’ve done nothing wrong, you don’t take actions related to the issue.
I don’t follow why he would apologize for this. Does he mean he feels sorry for them? He’s not responsible for it, so I’m not following why he’d apologize....a bit of a disconnect, unless it’s sarcasm.
Doesn’t even make sense. You don’t apologize for other people’s actions unless you are Obama. Sounds more like “Yeah, I’m sorry. Sorry you’re so stupid.”
Hmmmm, I watched it all, never noticed the sneering.

It is rich sarcasm. I love it. Did you read it all?

When you’ve taken the lead in doing something right, you reinforce it. Teaching moment.
It was more like I’m sorry your politicians and media are so stupid but you get the idea.
Let me know when Ted does something like that.
This sure wasn’t it.
It’s a sarcastic, non apology.
Like another Harvard lawyer who spent less than one term in the Senate before deciding he was “the one”, Cruz cannot resist the temptation to prove he’s smarter than everyone else. This kind of snide remark is what he sees as wit and cleverness.
Texas values?
Houston lesbian mayor demands pastors turn over sermons:

And Austin is San Fransisco south.
Of course we know what he was trying to do-—call Trump a lib. He botched it. By using the word “values” the debate champ allowed Trump to define his own set of values. Honestly, this was a “You’re no John Kennedy” moment.
A. he is pretty darn smart
B. He has far ore experience then one partial term
He got badly dinged. You know Cruz stepped in it when Erik Erickson has to try and bail him out.
LOL
Maybe a comment about Abbott is in order.
