THE NIGHT OF JANUARY 16, 1938

BENNY GOODMAN AT CARNEGIE HALL

"How much of an intermission do you want?"

"I don't know," answered Goodman. "How much does Toscanini have?"

Following intermission, the band was back on stage.

This is the great Irving Berlin tune, which was recorded and released to great success by Goodman's band in 1937. Solos are for trombone (Vernon Brown), tenor sax (Arthur Rollini), trumpet (Harry James), and clarinet (Goodman).

"Blue Skies"
