Not sure what that picture was supposed to represent, but it reminded me of the racks I used to see just outside the doors of mosques in Turkey. You took off your shoes and put them in the rack before you entered the mosque. I was always concerned that mine wouldn't be there when I came back out. However, I never lost a pair.
