Rubio wasn’t right.
Even when out economy was booming we had a ridiculous trade deficit that was a drag on jobs.
You can’t fix this economy without jobs, and you can’t fix jobs without fixing trade. Trade reform is necessary as a precursor to long term economic stability, not the other way around.
Rubio WAS right. Tariffs don’t punish the other country. It punishes the American consumer by raising prices. How in the hell does that help our economy????
