After months of playing nice, Cruz hits Trump. Then hits him again. And again.

What the hell is wrong with Debate Club? I was in that in HS and college. Also in Navy Sea Cadets and Army ROTC. Debate was more fun than playing Army!

Please tell me when Trump has attacked Cruz, other than the citizenship issue? I don’t recall any. And that was not really an attack, it was just saying Cruz needs to clear this mess up because the democrats are already saying they’ll go after him if he’s nominated. It was Cruz who ran his mouth at a private fund raiser and said Trump didn’t have the “judgement” to be president. Very dumb thing for Cruz to do. Cruz is as sneaky as hell. He says stuff behind peoples back, then when caught on it, tries to tap dance around it. If he’s going to challenge someone do it to their face. His problem is he tries to please everyone, all time, so he never tells anyone what he really thinks. Typical politician.

Please read my posts. I didn’t say I agree with all her policies. I said her class, her style. Can you imagine Hillary trying to debate her on live TV?

I am way over Donald’s bad boy pouting faces and his temper. Yes, he has identified an American raw nerve, and I very much respect him for making those thing issues in the campaign, but the need to personally attack everyone who doesn’t worship him has become a bit much.

... and the hair...

I was at a fundraiser at Mar-A-Lago a few years ago. He was quite natty in his all white tennis outfit.... until he tripped and fell.

It can happen to anyone, but when he got up, green grass stains everywhere on his white shorts and short, he ignored that and spent 45 seconds with a hand mirror checking that his “do” was ok.

Message to Donald. You are human.... and so is everyone else... except Obama, of course.

In everything Ted Cruz has done and said, not once have I been embarrassed, disappointed, or felt a need to justify or excuse him. ...I cannot say the same for Trump by any means.

Andrew Breitbart in 2011:...."Donald Trump Is Not a Conservative"...Breitbart WARNED.... that a celebrity candidate could win the nomination if conservatives weren't careful.... Celebrity is everything in this country..."he said..And if these guys don't learn 'how to play the media' the way that Barack Obama played the media last election cycle and the way that Donald Trump is playing the election cycle, we're going to probably get a celebrity candidate."

Or he let Don get his numbers up early. Because maintaining a level of support is a lot harder than achieving it. Elections are won in the final stretch most often. and the right loves playing candidate hopscotch.

That is an excellent point. I have never focused on that, but now that I think about it, I agree with you.

Two of the candidates you listed are still in the race, Jeb and Christie.
Rick Perry and Scott Walker were far more conservative than Trump.
You are the one who is sleeping. Trump doesn’t have a conservative thought in his head, but he has you fooled.

Newt Gingrich once said it helps having a Southern accent when campaigning in the South. Well this year we have the leading two candidate, Trump and Cruz, with neither having a Southern accent. Trump I can understand. He’s from NY City. But what does Cruz have no detectable accent whatsoever. No way in the world would anyone guess he’s from Texas by hearing him talk.

Cruz knows that TPA, leading to TPP, is not free trade at all. It is about lining the pockets of his donor class masters.

...” The people he hires think on their feet”...

Exactly..Trump is constantly being reeled back in because he doesn’t think before he speaks....he speaks whatever the moment calls for that will feed the audience he’s over no matter if he believes it or not.....he has no “center” except to win this. ...he’s not grounded in any particular set of beliefs, morals or political venue train of thought....like the wind. Whatever comes his way he can use to maintain his supporters attention in order to obtain the “win”.....

IO If he wins he’ll be focused on enlarging his business empire even further Internationally....his kids will be his unseen Ambassadors to do that along with his established teams in play now......he will do as politicians do and drop a few crumbs to the American people along the way but his “vision” is his business empire and the Office of the Presidency that will weld him the power to leverage that whereever he wants.

Hey! Cruz was for it before he was against it. It’s a game, like loading up pork in your district and then voting against the budget. Speaking of the budget... how about that latest one. Just enough Republican support to pass. Right? Same difference on the trade deal. The only tough decisions the politicians make in Congress is how to cover their votes with their constituents.

I look at how historically in almost every case, the guy that comes out guns blazing, is rarely there at the finish line.

People are all gung how at the shiny object. But the majority cannot hold that enthusiasm forever. Eventually they stp seeing the shiny and look at the “What IS” and not the “What IF”.

I think we are seeing the transition starting. Lots of people this week have said that Trump’s brash is wearing thin. Thats who the guy is. It’s not gonna change.

As it goes on, people are going to start looking closer at his past record. He will lose more support there because right now many are still caught up in the shiny object phase. AKA the Honeymoon is ending.

Ted is launching his attacks right at the point people are starting to take a second look/thought. Perfect strategy. Whether or not it will work, we’ll find out. He basically gave Trump a lot of rope. Now he’ll try to hang him with it.

Yeah, and Mr. Evangelical Holy Roller, George W. Bush, used overwhelming force on a country that never attacked us - Iraq - while he spared the one most certainly behind the organizing and funding of, not only the attacks of September 11, 2001, but terrorism in general throughout the world - that country being Saudi Arabia.

Of course one would expect such from the Texas family dynasty whose roots are buried in Middle East Oil, while there noses are buried up the collective bung hole of the Saudi Royals.

Don’t brag to me of Evangelical Christian virtue - or have you forgotten Jimmuh Carter? Those who wear religion on their sleeves for public display - particularly leaders with their finger on the “nuclear triad,” and who make a show out of their religiosity in making policy decisions - scare me more than those with no religion at all: “Oh, God spoke to me today, and told me what course I should take this nation on” - as if the president is also a prophet to whom God personally directs. That kind of feigning “I’m King David” crapola turns me off faster than anything else. It did not help GW Bush - in fact just the opposite - and it will not help Ted Cruz.

Well, I live in the Midwest - Nebraska - and the one name I hear spoken of more than any other, while I travel across this BIG MIDWESTERN state, is TRUMP! And not in a negative way. I hear it from Conservatives. I hear from Independents And I hear it from Democrats. I’ve never seen anything like this - anywhere. But, the only test that matters is the one on November 4th.
