His death was not “tragic.” Phillips was a criminal.

He was 4th down and long.
His only way out was on a gurney or a pardon.
RIP

A criminal who was paying his time. The tragic part is how much Tom Osborne tried to get him on the right path and how much talent he wasted.

Yes that is him.
I lost all respect I had for Tom Osborn after he basically didn’t even slap him on the wrist.

In 2005 twice choked the girlfriend then attacked her again in another incident. In a separate incident he ran 3 teens down in his car and then capped it off by choking his cellmate to death. All in all I doubt Lawrence will be missed.

Oddly enough, he murdered his prison roommate because he was such a degenerate.

The guy was a complete parallel to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Life handed him — HANDED HIM — everything someone could want: talent, fame, wealth.
All he had to do was make smart decisions.
Instead, he threw it all away and in a completely thuggish manner.
Yep, the Bungles.

Sounds like he was fully qualified to play in the NFL. Or work as a cop in New Orleans.

Now, now, that's just your privilege talking. After all, "smart decisions" is a racially charged phrase, just like "hard work." /sarc

Far too aggressive to be a member of the NOPD. He really would have put the fear of something into the first street thug who called him a MFing white punk.
