I hit a deer once... $6k in damage to my car and I was incredibly shaken up. My husband was sleeping next to me as I was driving along, when BOOM! He woke up with a start and said, what the heck was that. I told him a deer just committed suicide! True story....

That happened to me a few years back. 85 mph 2003 Lexus vs Thumper on Highway 10 outside of Odessa Texas. The Lexus won only in the sense that no one was hurt. The cars drivers side quarter panel was ripped clean off. The deer came over the guardrail and before it could hit the ground I sent it back over the guard rail.

Interesting. So either he hit that deer at 60mph in the parking lot or he continued to drive with the deer in his grill.
