Based on the current knowledge of Ted Cruz's citizenship, would Ted Cruz be considered eligible for the presidency at the time of our Founding Fathers (1788 - 1840).
Facts About Ted Cruz:
1) Mother was U.S. Citizen
2) Father was a foreign Citizen
3) Born in Foreign Country (Canada was a British Colony at the time)
4) Held Dual Citizenship
On July 25, 1787, John Jay wrote to George Washington, presiding officer of the Convention:

Hey folks I think we ought to TRY to find the peace? I climbed up the discussion and am foggy on what even started all this, or who is being a stinker, but it sure looks like we’re all bristling at one another now; that’s silly and I sure hope I did nothing to add to that.
It ain’t about how good we are, even the best whoever that might be, and here’s a secret it probably isn’t even me.
It’s about how good God is and how well God can play through our troubled lives if we can open up to how God wants things done. Which is a mega kindness that is absolutely stunning. We might not FEEL kind all the time, but we can try to carry it out as best we have learned.

This is not a church, in which whenever anyone makes a political point, the counter is to quote a Bible verse. To misuse the Bible in such a way is a SINFUL act, and it helps no one and grants no one vision. All it does is troll up the place with static.
I love Jesus and I love the Bible but I do not post a scripture verse every time someone challenges a political point of mine. That's not an answer, that's a pathetic misuse of Scripture to deflect, and it offends me.
