Let's see, how could this be hacked? Who wants to be tracked?... Oh brother!... How would older non V2V cars be handled? Yet another government mandate.

So will this make all of the outdated Mexican trucks ineligible to drive on our highways?

No thanks. I prefer my cars to be dumber than a box of rocks.

Great... more government “control” in the name of “safety”...

Let’s keep making cars less affordable.

Because it can be hacked, this will go from 'gee whiz!' to optional to standard equipment, to required equipment in the next 15 years. The price of a vehicle will be beyond what most can afford and the slaves will be forced to move into areas with public transit or risk prison for driving a 'manual'.
What had potential to be a boon for some will become a tool to implement Agenda 21.
Who wants to drive when someone else can grab the wheel (and other controls) at any time?

I’ll bet it doesn’t even need to be hacked.
Once the algorithms become known, it’ll be easy to “mess with” other drivers on the road by simply driving a certain way around them.
So then we’ll have new laws against “willfully tampering with a vehicle-to-vehicle system” and so forth.
Just more damn big government “helping” us to a personal-responsibility-free world. Blech.

The basic goal is to make vehicles so expensive that only the Algores of the world can afford them.

At some point cars get crammed with so much technology and mandated equipment that the poor can't afford/maintain them as
used cars. That will be the end of the auto age, not a shortage of fuel.
Car is supposed to be transportation from point A to B. Not a space shuttle on wheels....

It’s not even hacks that are the problem. Picture a couple of cars boxing you in and forcing you to stop. A very convenient method to kidnap/harass/murder people.
Does anyone believe the presidential limo will be outfitted in such a manner?

Wouldn’t it be nice if the government could shut down all private transportation whenever they want?
I’d feel so much safer!

Would I be at risk of a swerving V2V vehicle while riding my non-V2V bicycle?
To: MulberryDraw
This will also be used by bad guys and Police alike in order to force other vehicles to stop.

Let me guess: this is just another way to get older, non-government-trackable, non-government-controllable vehicles off the roads.
So incredibly sick of this creeping Federal tyranny. And millions more are just as pissed off as me.
