Donald Trump may be the only person in America, outside of the residents of Cincinnati and Minneapolis, who has watched these NFL playoffs and doesn't like what he sees.
"Football has become soft like our country has become soft," the GOP presidential frontrunner told a campaign rally in Reno, Nevada on Sunday. "We're going soft, just like the NFL, we're going soft."

...but today, that'll cost ya 15 yds.
I blame domed stadiums and artificial turf. Football was meant to be played in the elements. Now we have stadiums with Victoria’s Secret stores in them.
What, the super successful (did I mention, RICH) Donald Trump criticizing the NFL?
Let’s see, failed at casinos and strip clubs in Atlantic City. Let others pay the bill in the end.
Failed at “Trump Shuttle” - drove the prize of Eastern Airlines into the dirt.
Failed at football. USFL was a joke.
And yet, to his supporters, he is a genius (did I mention that he is the smartest person to ever run for President - maybe in the smartest in human history). Did I mention his virgin birth and the miracles that he performs on a regular basis? Sure, I am going to listen to this NYC blowhard when he talks about the NFL being to weak. /sarc
I don’t think Trump really has the physical experience to suggest that the NFL is soft.
Did he watch the games on Saturday? Or in the cold yesterday?
Soft is not a word that I would use.
I am a Pats fan. I am NOT looking forward to playing the Chiefs on Saturday. Unless Brady’s front line has healed, it will be a long afternoon for us.
I am not going to argue your point too hard, but the USFL was doing Okay before they decided to take on the NFL directly.
They should have left it where it was for a few more seasons if they could.
LMAO.
Well, you can do what you want but did I tell you he was rich? He is really, really rich you know. He is really, really smart too, he made good grades, really, really good grades. Did I say he was rich?/s
I’d watch if some of the players carried.
I’d like to fail in life as bad as Trump.
Looking for another match with the highly vaunted Tom Brady!
Personally, I'll take Alex Smith over Brady any day of the week but then I do like a talented nice guy over semi-talented egotist.
Football is softer today (though players are bigger) but its not really confined to football. It’s all of society, in general, has gone softer and more pc and sensitive. Almost seems anyone getting injured in the NFL now is treated metaphorically the same as a college student being subjected to being offended. In either case, we need to coddle and provide a “safe space”.
And who drove the decision to take on the NFL directly?
If I recall, he was not in favor of it...but once the lawsuit came he was the leader. I watched something on it a month ago...but admittedly I did not take notes. Ha ha.
I’m guessing he didn’t see Shazier and Burfect playing in the Steelers/Bengals game.
Aside from that one press conference, I’ve never heard or seen him portrayed as selfish or an ego maniac. He takes care of his linemen and let’s others take the limelight.
And seriously, no one can suggest he is not talented.
I would like to see Trump get nailed by some 320 pound lineman and then tell us how soft it’s become.
Saturday Chris Berman was predicting a Chiefs/Seahawks Super Bowl. The way we played against the Texans I wouldn’t put it past us making it.
