I had just passed thru Oakland on the 880 before it pancaked. I made it to Vallejo before it hit.

We got a pretty big jolt. The focus was about two miles northeast of here, up in the La Habra Hills.

Probably won’t help trying to stop the la methane leak.

Clif High's web bot data indicates that an earthquake is going to make the methane leak problem MUCH worse. We've had a few nearby since he release the January ALTA report. It is more than methane now. The spew is leaving brown hydrocarbon "rain" spots all over cars and homes. There is substantial radioactive material in the stuff raining down too. Sore throats and respiratory problems in a growing area. Lots of evacuations and estimates that it may take 4 months to fix what has already happened...independent of whether it gets worse due to earthquakes.

It was a jolt, then a little bit of rolling....about 7-10 seconds.

My first thought was an aftershock from the La Habra quake...

Well, you haven’t lived until you’ve been through a 7.1 .. that’s the strongest I’ve ever felt in the 23 years I’ve lived here.

I’ve got your time line at that venue beat by a few years. Been through more than I can recall. But I still wouldn’t trade them in for hurricanes or tornadoes. Just my personal choice of natural disasters...lol

Dragnet, TFH

which ones were the biggest ones y’all been through?

Sylmar almost threw me out of bed & I was in Long Beach.

Whittier Narrows I was in El Segundo sitting at an outside picnic table; couldn’t get up off the bench to get under the table.

Northridge and Santa Monica rousted me outta bed again; altho here the cat gave me about five seconds warning by jumping on my chest.

You were a lot closer to the epicenter than I was.

My first conscious “encounter” with an earthquake was in 1976 In SanFrancisco. Third Floor Apartment in the Richmond District....watching the landscape outside my windows roll back and forth .. including the golden dome on the Orthodox Church a few blocks away.

What an amazing experience that was.

That is pretty cool...I ran it and what I noticed is that there haven't been any quakes anywhere more 6.0 or above for the last week. I wonder if that means anything?

Another weird thing...by and far the most number of small quakes worldwide are in either Oklahoma or the Dominican Republic/Puerto Rico area. OK I assume is fracking quakes but what about DR?

I wonder if that means anything?

I've been using EQ3D for quite some time now, and what I've noticed is there is an ebb and flow of EQ activity.

Mostly I see occasional flare ups around the ring of fire. Africa seems to be almost EQ free much of the time. Right now, the area above Australia and up near Japan is ringing like a bell.

OK has been ringing like a small bell for a while. It is also the site of the Baphomet Statue.

As for the PR/DR area, of note is that the epicenter of the quakes is near Epstein's Orgy Island.

Not that I believe in stuff like that. : )
