WASHINGTON (AP) - A Syrian scientist stricken with cancer and seeking a new start for his family in Michigan will represent Syrian refugees as a guest of first lady Michelle Obama for the president's final State of the Union address.
President Barack Obama has committed to accepting an additional 10,000 Syrian refugees, but some Republican lawmakers and presidential candidates are critical of the expansion. Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, for example, noted the recent arrest of two Iraqi refugees.

I’d consider voting for anyone who would deliver their SOTU to Congress on paper rather than as a Barnum and Baily spectacle. Not Hillary, but I’d even take a look at omalley if he said it. I’m for trump but I think he’ll be bad at SOTU. I want actions not words, and SOTU is a bunch of meaningless

He almost singlehandedly destroyed Maryland. He’s by far the worst of the three rat candidates. The other two openly hate America. O’Malley is more o a sleeper.

I have no interest in omalley. Butif he was to convince me that he was for action over show I’d listen to him. I love cruz but I think even he values show. I think trump is the only on e who wants to be judged on actions and I want that even if im not completely behind the actions.

You know about how he taxes rain. How about toilet flushes, for the environment of course. Even if you’re on a septic field.
How about a 6% added tax on gas, on top of the other taxes on gas. That’s because he signed off on the legislature raiding the transportation trust fund for other projects. But, they promised to never do it again. The man who hasn’t filled up a gas tank in decades lectured us on how we’d be happy to help more.
Just before I moved here, he instated an extra tax on people who made over $1,000,000 per year. About 2/3 of them moved out of state.
He drove out Beretta, the largest employer on the Eastern Shore because they manufactured evil guns. He actually said that the 300 jobs lost would be worth it to keep guns off the streets.

Good. Let the dems tie themselves to Muslim refugees. This is not a wise time to do that, given the current sentiments of the US populace.
