A document uncovered by Breitbart News indicates that the parents of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) were named on a Calgary list of electors for Canada's federal election of July 8, 1974. Ted Cruz parents are listed as Cruz, Eleanor, Mrs. nd Cruz, Raphael, self employed, both at 920 Riverdale Avenue, South West in Calgary, Alberta.
Canadian law restricts (and restricted) federal voting rights to Canadian citizens.
In a statement to Breitbart Newsâthe full text of which follows this articleâJason Johnson, chief strategist for Cruz for President, said that âthe document itself does not purport to be a list of âregistered Canadian voters.â All this might conceivably establish is that this list of individuals (maybe) lived at the given addresses. It says nothing about who was a citizen eligible to vote.â
Johnson added: Eleanor was never a citizen of Canada, and she could not have been under the facts or the law. In short, she did not live in Canada long enough to be a Canadian citizen by the time Cruz was born in 1970: Canadian law required 5 years of permanent residence, and she moved to Canada in December 1967âonly 3 years before Senator Cruzâs birth. ...

Exclusive: 1974 Canadian Electors List Named Ted Cruz's Parents
>>>> Interesting. His father became a Canadian citizen. Did his mother? If she did, it looks like it may have been after Cruz was born. I wonder if she registered his birth with the consul. <<<<
I did a search; didn’t see it. I’ll ask the moderator to remove mine.
Thanks
Cruz in not a NBC.
Obama in not a NBC.
Hillary is Obama on steroids.
The Constitution is not a suicide pact.
I will gladly vote for Cruz should he be the nominee.
Hope to get this smoke and mirrors stuff out of the way SOON. I know MANY people born in Mexico to women who were born in the USA and they are refused passports or visas to come to the USA. it’s a Catch 22.. The laws were always being changed, modified and it all depends on the COURTS. IT will go to court, the opposition will not leave any rock unturned to keep Ted from being nominated.
Why not?
Her birth certificate is no proof that she did not relinquish her citizenship and take that of her husband, Canadian. It would not have been unusual. More information is necessary, but I ask why Cruz didn’t know he was a Canadian Citizen when he ran for Senator anbd only relinquished his Canadian Citizenship after h was elected. Why are the necessary papers not revealed under the Freedom of information Act, but are barred?
Frankly, I believe neither Cruz nor Rubio are eligible under the constitution. Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 clearly states that a NBC is born of two American parents on American soil.
Does it matter?
Now address the rest of my post.
Post the portion that mentions parents.
In the first place the title is erroneous. This is the equivalent of a census and does not establish if anyone in the residence is a voter.
Secondly Cruz’s mother was not even eligible to become a Canadian citizen at the time of his birth because there is a five year residency requirement to apply. She moved to Canada in 1967. Cruz was born in 1970.
Assuming one has to be a Canadian citizen to vote there this is BS!
Does it matter if you never prove your claim? No.
The Constitution requires an Article 5 Convention called for by both parties and any new change to the Constitution must be ratified by the states.Article II has never been altered or changed in any way. it stands as it was written.
Since a person has to be a resident of Canada for five years before they can apply for citizenship, Cruz’s mother could not have been anything other than a U.S. citizen. She moved there in 1967. Cruz was born in 1970.
His mom was a U.S. Citizen when he was born. His father became more of a real American than all Democrats and 85% of Republicans.
This "truther" stuff is just bull$hit.
