Michelle Obama would want a gun to protect her family if we lived in rural area, President reveals in firearms debate

President reveals Michelle's comments that were made on a visit to rural Iowa Barack says the First Lady's words are 'absolutely right' as people occupy 'different realities' Obama also said he was not trying to take away other Americans' constitutional right to purchase firearms Speaking at the debate, Taya Kyle told the President that tightening gun laws 'would not work'

Michelle Obama would want a 'shotgun or rifle' to make sure her family were protected if living in a rural area, Barack Obama revealed in a televised gun debate on Thursday.

This came as the President assured the nation that he was not trying to spearhead a 'conspiracy' to take away other Americans' constitutional right to purchase firearms.

Obama said he recalled that when he was campaigning for office and he and Michelle visited farms in rural Iowa, his wife told him: 'If I was living in a farmhouse where the sheriff's department is pretty far away and somebody can just turn off the highway and come up to the farm, I'd want to have a shotgun or a rifle to make sure that I was protected and my family was protected.'

Barack said that she 'was absolutely right' and that part of the reason the debate ends up being such a difficult issue is because 'people occupy different realities'.

This is not the first time that Michelle has waded into the firearms debate.

In 2013, she made a tearful address at a debate in Chicago, where she urged for a 'common-sense reforms to protect our children from gun violence'.

I NEVER go into the city without packing. And I never allowed my wife (God rest her soul) to go into the city without packing. Now, I do not allow my daughter to go into the city without packing.... suburbs included.
“City” meaning the city limits of our suburb of Charlotte. I avoid Charlotte all together.

Out here in the farm area, we leave our cars unlocked and the doors of our house is usually just the screen door.

Michele Obama is simply a white-hating racist.

I’m packing when I’m in the Chi, it’s a war one down there, I don’t know what she’s talking about that big cities are safe.

Do. Not. Want. To. Know.

Here: “Maureen Dowd”. Will someone please invoke “The Rule” and post a CZJ picture? I need eye bleach. And I don’t think I’m alone.

Absolute stupidity. Yeah ... I’m armed whenever and wherever possible, but it’s most necessary in the city.

Yeh what about the poor ghetto dweller who needs a gun to protect themselves from the roving packs of gangs in their own neighborhood?

Michelle Obama would want a 'shotgun or rifle' to make sure her family were protected if living in a rural area, Barack Obama revealed...

But of course they support diversity, so we're not going to limit nor constrain someone to just a shotgun or a rifle, right? We're going to support pistols and revolvers, SBRs. We celebrate diversity and freedom of choice, so they support whatever features someone wants on their firearm, right? Standard capacity magazines, pistol grips (not discriminating against mildly disabled people who find other grip styles or reloading difficult, right?). {snort}

This came as the President assured the nation that he was not trying to spearhead a 'conspiracy' to take away other Americans' constitutional right to purchase firearms.

No, he offered assurances, but I for one am most certainly not assured that he and others like him are not coming for our firearms. First there is his history in particular. He is a liar. Most of what he says turns out to be a lie. That's not racist, has nothing to do with race, or liking/disliking his policies and politics. No matter where you stand on the support vs hate the obama Presidency you have to admit that most of what he says turns out to be a lie. (think shovel ready, keep your doctor, reduce health insurance rates, reduce debt, world's a safer place...the list goes on and on)

Not only does obama lack even a shred of credibility, the anti-gun position itself similarly has been shown to be populated by liars. Remember "no one will restrict xyz..." or "no one is talking about registration" or "no one is going to confiscate..." Well, lies, all lies. In States like NY and CA, CO, etc. ownership of firearms and components with certain features is in fact restricted. In Conn. and other States there is registration of owners and firearms. In CA they are now confiscating firearms from law abiding citizens guilty of no crime.

That brings us to the crux of the current lie. "No one is talking about confiscating guns from law abiding citizens." Right, but they are most definitely talking about changing the definition of law abiding by making possession of certain firearms/components illegal, or by making it illegal for certain people to own firearm. Viola, suddenly you are no longer a law abiding citizen and they most certainly are talking about confiscating your firearms and quite probably imprisoning you.

...his wife told him: 'If I was living in a farmhouse where the sheriff's department is pretty far away and somebody can just turn off the highway and come up to the farm, I'd want to have a shotgun or a rifle to make sure that I was protected and my family was protected.'

Great, by why limit it to rural areas? Is it an availability thing? LEOs per 100K residents? Or is it a response time thing? What is the cutoff? If your local law enforcement cannot get to you with better than an average 20 min response time then you support arming those people? But if you're in an area with say an 8 min average response time you shouldn't be armed? Is that what you're saying Michelle? Where's the cutoff? How long are you willing to wait for LEO support while a rapist is with your wife or daughters Michelle? How about you support the freedom and liberty for Americans to choose for themselves if a firearm makes sense for them and their personal defense?

Barack said that she 'was absolutely right' and that part of the reason the debate ends up being such a difficult issue is because 'people occupy different realities'.

We most certainly do bammy. So how about you climb down off your {expletive} elitist/socialist/fascist horse because your take on reality has just about nothing in common with my actual reality. Leave me and mine the hell alone b***h.

Notice she said "shotgun or rifle." Also remember Uncle "Shotgun" Joe Biden's words last year.

The number one firearm for defensive use is a handgun, but those are the firearms that they want to take away, along with semi-auto rifles and shotguns.

They really do want Australia-style gun control, where all you are allowed to own (after an extensive and expensive licensing process) is break action shotguns and bolt or lever action rifles. No semi-auto or pump shotguns, no semi-auto or pump rifles, no full capacity magazines, and no handguns (with perhaps a few target shooting exceptions with very strict non-home storage requirements.)

I understand the sentiments Obama is pretending Michelle has. When I go into urban areas where there are a lot of black racists, I go armed and ready.

A rural area??!!
Those are the safest areas; being in a city like Chicago is where she desire the protection.

So people who live in cities, who are much more likely to be victims of violent crime, don’t deserve the right to defend themselves. Got it.
