I'm with you to a degree. Although I love some of the things Trump says, I don't take him seriously because I really don't think he is serious.

I think the only thing that matters to Donald Trump is...Donald Trump.

His rallies are terrible! He stands up there and rambles for over an hour and offers not specific details on his plans. He constantly gets sidetracked from what he is talking about and then returns to it 5 minutes later.. Then he he just says about 50 times over “we're going to make America great again.” but doesn't say how. It's a joke and how people can sit through a Donald Trump speech is beyond comprehension.

I think he is just eating up all the attention he can. He needs to be loved by the crowds. And he is playing so many good conservatives for fools.

Conservatives had their candidate this time in Ted Cruz. But conservatives have follishly abandoned him for a North Eastern Liberal con man because he tells them what they want to hear....but does he mean it???

Ted Cruz has the track record. Trump doesn't. For crying outloud the Clinton's were guests at his wedding!!!! He donated to Hillary's Senate campaign. He was registered Democrat as early as 2009! The only good thing Trump has contributed to this race is that he took down Jeb! Bush. But not because he was a bad candidate, because he was in Trumps way. I have been open about my pessimism. I think there is very little chance for a Republican presidential candidate to win an election anymore. The demographics have shifted to favor Democrats. On the issues, majorities support amnesty, homo marriage, legalized pot and embrace the "hip" celebrity culture. This all favors Democrats. The people know Hillary is a crook, liar, murderer and thief. But they will vote for her because she is a Democrat and she supports these things.

Trump will loose to Hillary worse than McCain and Romney lost to 0bama. Cruz I think will lose as well, but at least he will lose standing on Conservative principals and giving this Godless nation on last chance to repent.

LMAO, not if she is in jail. Sounds like the ComDems are about to throw her under the bus. They know what is coming from the FBI. Put her away (after she rats out Obama).

You realize this thread is about a leftist pleasing with liberals not to vote for Trump, right? And you admit Cruz would lose.

Trump will win BECAUSE both sides will vote for him.

Letting Hillary win is not an option - period. If that means Trump, that means Trump. Having Cruz as his VP will help keep him in line.

That's reality. It's called living to fight another day.

...[Trump's] rallies are terrible! He stands up there and rambles for over an hour and offers not specific details on his plans.

Not everyone appreciates Trump's speeches.  I understand that.  As a Trump supporter who has watched several of his speeches on-line, let me take a crack at explaining why I still watch them.

It's like a sports team.  Once you follow a team for a while, be it the Boston Red Sox, the Dallas Cowboys -- whoever it is, you get hooked.

However before you reach the point of committing to a team, you weigh the quality of what's there.

And if it's a president you're choosing, you first look at the usual stuff: the policies he or she supports, the organization around the campaign, the debates, and other political factors.

Now with Trump, I think there's an indefinable leadership he radiates that people want to be near.  They want to have an experience with him, because he's become a colleague, almost family now.  And we also love the "spirit in the room" -- being with other Americans and showing our pride in the man and our country.

Trump does that for us.  So when we watch him on-line or attend a rally, his fans almost know 60% of what he's going to say!  And his detailed positions are not that important because we can always read his book, Crippled America, or go to his website to read all that.

So as a Trump supporter, I look at the whole package: his success in life, his strength of character, his refusal to back down, his utter confidence in himself, his love of his country, the videos I've seen, the hotels and golf courses he's built, even the maturity of his children.  All of that is in my head -- or rather, all of that is in my heart.

So no matter what he may say at any particular rally, the important thing is my love for the man and what I feel he can do to heal my beloved country.
