Looking her right in the eye and telling her the truth.
Drop Mic...leave room....
Valdez: As a DACA holder myself, I worried about whoever comes next to the presidency and whatâs going to happen to people like us. . . I think of myself as part of this community and you know, first day of presidency, you decide to deport, you know, people like myself, you know, itâs just very difficult to process.
Cruz: Well listen, I would note, if youâre a DACA recipient, that means that you were brought here illegally, and violating the laws has consequences. And one of the problems with our broken immigration systems is that it is creating human tragedies. . . but I can tell you what the law is in every country on earth. If I illegally emigrate to England, or Germany, or France, or China, or Mexico and they catch me, they will deport me. Thatâs what every country on earth does. And thereâs no reason that Americaâs laws should have less respect than the laws of every other country on earth. We should welcome people who come following the laws but there are consequences for breaking the law. And that is part of what makes America the nation that we are.

Excellent.
Good job Ted.
I love the way this man expresses himself. How can any sane person object to this argument?
Oh — guess the key word is ‘sane’...

“I know the DNCC thinks this clip will be damaging to Cruz by virtue of the fact that they are shopping it to the media, but I think it will be more damaging to them instead.”
Full clip. How many candidates answer questions truthfully, kindly no matter the consequence?
We are so lucky to have Cruz running.
Great answer by Cruz
No wonder the establishment is panicking!
“Even as a guy who is a squish on immigration”
At least Wolfe is honest about that.
Cruz did a nice job on his response, on the fly. Anyone who may run across the video will agree with Cruz, except the hardcore open borders crowd.
There is a lot to like about Ted Cruz, but this is not his finest moment. He will not deport 12 million illegals. If you are voting for him on that point alone you will be disappointed. He has said that ‘if’ someone is arrested then they will be deported no matter what. The key is ‘if’. He has not plan and he needs to quit implying that he will do so. It is not gong to happen.
Brilliant and effective.
Who else could do that?
This proves Cruz is for amnesty, right?
