Trump did attack Cruz on this issue. He brought it up as a problem that might disqualify Cruz.
It was a nasty thing to do and greatly reduced my respect for him.
you know, if that’s as bad as it gets, it’s not that bad.
what I don’t understand is people think I or amyone would give up their voting preference over a POSSIBLE but highly unlikely big issue.
hearing about Trump saying things I want to hear makes me want to vote for him in the primary.
trying to poke Cruz could never change my vote.
I don’t know what the concern is anyway. isn’t he up like 30 points right now?
Better he should say nothing and let the Democrats bring it up? Settle it now. That’s what primaries are for getting the candidates ready to face the Democratic candidate who will be looking for everything including the kitchen sink. If settled now its old news with no traction later.
“Trump did attack Cruz on this issue. He brought it up as a problem that might disqualify Cruz.”
No, Trump did not “attack” Cruz. He stated that should Cruz be the nominee, he will most likely be dealing with legal attacks from the Dems re: his Canadian birth and dual citizenship. No where did Trump say Cruz was not eligiable.
He may have implied that these court cases may erode Cruz’s ELECTABILITY, which should concern ANYONE on the right.

What Trump did was point out that the very thing that just happened, might very well happen.
Trump's pushing this issue into the media is probably so Trump can't clear Cruz for Veep.
