I don't think it's an issue. That said, I have had many conservatives come up to me after talks or in seminars and say, 'What about the fact that Cruz isn't a natural born citizen?'
So, the concern is out there. I don't think it is legitimate, but to pretend there aren't some conservatives who see it as a problem would be mistaken.

Thanks very much for your reply. I’ll admit, I’m a bit taken aback, primarily because of the Marxist Muslim POTUS!
I have thought all along that Obama’s birth issues blew away all standards. I just love, love, love to be mistaken!
Rules are different for radicals.

No one cares. Let us get on with the race. If Cruz wins and a lawsuit is brought it will be fixed in a day.

You’re likely correct. Solicitor General of Texas.
Thanks very much.

But how many people will not vote for Cruz because they are afraid of this issue?
And why is this issue suddenly thrust into prominence after simmering quietly with only a few people concerned about it for a long time?
Because Trump has made it an issue ... that’s why.
And that’s exactly what he intended.
Trump would be an okay president and if he can beat Hillary it will be great. But he is not God and he is not above being an SOB on occasion.

I have NO IDEA about the reason for going to the trouble with regard to McCain’s birth in 2008. I recall that my late husband, DrO was mad about it. Totally unnecessary.

No, I’m impatient, I can be an asshole....and everyone knows that. But my logic is unassailable. And the fact is, you have still avoided the topic of intent like the plague it would be to hour argument.

I am a very impatient man by nature. But life has taught me to respect the intellect of others (my cats tell me when something is amiss in the yard...I cannot hear it, but they can).
They are often smarter than me in ways I cannot see.
Better to expand my mind to include them than reject them out of arrogance.
Better to listen...and wiser too.
Our country is in trouble. Step up to the best you can be and stop bullying Freepers who are not are good as you at expressing their thoughts.
I have erred at this as well...and it was a long journey to get here.
Lead.
You are needed as a leader.

I do not believe it will change a single vote. If it does, Ted is at fault. He had to be prepared it might come up and be ready for it.
As for Trump and any other candidate, politics is a very nasty business. You want to win, you fight dirty, you handle the crap that comes at you and be strong. No nice rules exist. They are all SOBs if they are going to win.

Trump's pushing this issue into the media is probably so Trump can't clear Cruz for Veep. Don't be silly. Trump may be eccentric, but not stupid.
Traditionally veeps are zeros, and as often as not suffer from foot-in-mouth disease.
Cruz would restore the office of Attorney General to a respected non-political position. As veep he would be a waste of talent, knowledge and experience.

I expect him to be decent and not try and sabotage a fellow conservative.

NO, altura, Trump didn't make this an issue: the evil media has made it an issue.
Trump was asked by some unknown radio host if he thought Ted Cruz's birth in Canada would pose a problem.
You and others cannot possibly read Mr. Trump's mind, so you do not know his intent.
Today, for example, Mr. Trump is and was very happy to talk about North Korea, given that he was the only one addressing NK prior to NK setting off its bomb yesterday.

BTW, just my opinion of course...but patience is a quality of age and experience.
I had none of it when I was young.
But in my dotage, I am beginning to enter the outer edge of it.
I was on Wall St as a youngster (from 25 until 40). Only the most driven were invited to the party. And only the first in the class in B-school.
What complete and utter BS.
No wisdom there. Lot's of money...but no wisdom.
In leaving one must pass through a vast dry territory...
See tagline.
