RUSH: I have been shocked (pleasantly so) to see some in the Drive-By Media recognize our Algore countdown clock at RushLimbaugh.com. Back in 2006, Algore said that we had ten years remaining. Ten years. Humanity had 10 years left to save the earth from what was then called global warming.
And if we didn't save it in ten years, it was all lost, it was hopeless, and the fate of humanity would be hanging in the balance. Well, that 10-year anniversary comes up this month, January 27. Gore said we have 10 years left before the earth cooks, on January 27th, 2006. Let me read from that program that day. "Try this one from yesterday's Stack. I don't know if you people know this or not, but Al Gore has been out at the Sundance Film Festival out there in Park City, Utah. ... [A]pparently Al Gore is working on a movie ...
"An Inconvenient Truth, and the movie will document his efforts to raise alarm on the effects of global warming, and so he brought Tipper and the kids out there. He's attending parties and posing for pictures with his fans. He's enjoying macaroni and cheese at the Discovery Channel's soiree. He's palling around with Laurie David of Curb Your Enthusiasm, who is the husband of Larry David," and Gore said we had only ten years left. This followed Ted Danson's 10-year prediction in 1988 that we only had 10 years to save the oceans, and if we failed to save the oceans in ten years, that would mean the end of humanity, essentially.
Well, that 10-year anniversary came and went. So we decided to start the Algore countdown clock right there on the front page at RushLimbaugh.com. You may have to scroll down to see it, but it's always been there. And, lo and behold, The Daily Caller actually picked up on this. "Limbaugh's Al Gore Armageddon Clock About to Hit Zero After Ten Years -- Former Vice President Al Gore made a prediction for the earth's point of no return 10 years ago and talk radio host Rush Limbaugh held him to it since that day in 2006.
"The countdown clock on Limbaugh's site has been running for nearly 10 years since Gore's apocalyptic prediction about the earth as a result of greenhouse emissions. Less than a month remains in the countdown. Gore predicted, when his film ... was first released at the Sundance Film Festival, that the earth would be in 'a true planetary emergency' within the next ten years unless drastic action was taken to reduce greenhouse gases." Of course drastic action has not been taken, and we do not in any way face "a true planetary emergency" except in the minds of people on the left and in the Drive-By Media.
And The Daily Caller goes on to have a little story here about our countdown clock and how we're nearing the moment of truth.

Oh nooooee .... WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!! We should have listened to Al Gore before it was too late.
Mac & cheese with Al Gore? Blecht. All gore.
This was using predictions of CO2 concentration growth that were much lower than what actually occurred because they totally failed to anticipate the rise of China as fossil fuel burning super power.
It's now 2016 and Greenland is more heavily glaciated than it was in 1990
Gore is an ignorant, pompous a-hole. Good at fleecing the gullible, though.
An Inconvenient Truth - very bad Sci-Fi movie

CONAN O'BRIEN, HOST: ...to create energy, and it sounds to me like an evil plan by Lex Luthor to defeat Superman. Can you, can you tell me, is this a viable solution, geothermal energy?
AL GORE: It definitely is, and it's a relatively new one. People think about geothermal energy - when they think about it at all - in terms of the hot water bubbling up in some places, but two kilometers or so down in most places there are these incredibly hot rocks, 'cause the interior of the earth is extremely hot, several million degrees, and the crust of the earth is hot ...

The physics and astronomy website Physlink contests Gore's absurd claim:
It is approximately 4000 degC [7230 degF] at the centre of the Earth.
I really screwed up, since I booked a vacation to Jamaica that week. I could have stayed home in Mo. and it will be in the 80’s according to Al.
AlBore has gotten immensely rich off of his 10 year shakedown. This was not by accident as his purchase of a marked down, beach front, California mansion proves. He deserves his own chapter in an updated version of Charles Mackey’s book “Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds”.
Unfortunately, no one holds them to account for their false predictions. Besides, it is the probably the same people making the predictions. Just a couple of decades older but no wiser.
Well, if we are gonna die in 10 years, at least we have the consolation knowing that POS is going down with us!
The ten years is up - we are just about toast.
And to think that children still know what snow is, polar bears are not dying of heat exhaustion, polar vortexes still pump sub-zero cold into the lower 48, and Fat Al is still dumb as a fence post!
...and fence posts serve a useful purpose whereas Fat Al doesn’t.
Oooooooooohhhh! Nooooooooooo! Gore just discovered he
was off by TEN YEARS in his original calculations! That
will give him an extra ten years to terrorize us. - Was he
also the one who latched on to that prediction in around
1980 or so that we were going to have another ICE AGE in
just a few short years? Cold or hot? Which is it so we’ll
know how to dress for it?
It's about 10 degrees outside in Southern Connecticut and I'm cranking the heat. No signs of global warming in these parts.
It's COLD out there! Maybe the global warming comes back in April.
Do we all have to die...AGAIN???
Countdown!
Global Warming PING!
