My, my. Sundance hit on an interesting little morsel there. I wasn’t aware that St. Raphael of TPA was vice chair of the same nrsc that went full skulduggery on the conservative base in MS.
But I’m sure he had nothing to do with it of course.

Cruz was inactive on the committee, having already announced that he would not personally become involved in any GOP senatorial primary campaign. This was so as to avoid having to endorse or otherwise support Texas' senior senator, John Cornyn.
Further, he argued that the committee should do the same -- not take sides in the GOP primaries. Heretofore that had generally been the oractice.
Cruz resigned his committee post after the Mississippi run-off.
