Gee whiz, when are we going to get our Constitutionally - solid AND religiously perfect candidate?
Pick the lying religious whack-o (H/T Señor Juan McCain’s) or the Constitutionally - shaky religiously - (never) wealthy populist.
I’m undecided, but just trying to nail down the candidates.
It would be more interesting if you guys even knew what the hell proselytizing means????
mainstream christian conservatives do not support Cruz for president because they sense or know that Cruz’s radicalism is not really acceptable to America
the polls reflect that realism
Here's one: <>As an example, Barton's historical work tracking the Christian roots of the nation are apparently plagued by exaggeration and poor scholarship.<>
After years of hearing the same thing, I bought one of his books. I think it was his 5,000 Year Leap, but I'm not positive.
Whatever the work, I remember thinking that it was the most thoroughly footnoted history book I'd every read. To the extent that sources were available online, I checked probably 15-20 of them.
Every one of them was accurate.
Whether someone disagrees with the lessons he draws from history is an entirely different matter.
yeah, the fact that there is no proselytizing...a pejorative word totally abused to score cheap points.
I'm neither, but thanks for showing that my opponents are not exactly giving the thread a careful, objective reading :) (Well, that was perfectly obvious to predict though, lol.)
What has been described in this thread is not Christianity.
Wow, can I interest you in some swamp land in Florida? What a sucker. You are born every minute. You can fool all of the helicondelta's all of the time apparently.
so now you’re in love with the “christian establishment” - as they pervert it just like the GOP establishment has with the party?
Unadulterated crap. The author makes up a theology that places disparate “easy to hate” charlatans like Hinn, Meyers, and Beck in a mix with Cruz.
It was clearly written by someone very confused by Christian personalities, and most likely deeply antagonistic toward the religious right.
Interesting. Thanks for posting.
nothing says irrelevant like a column or a prediction made under a phony screen name.....such a screed doesn’t even exist.....you know....if an unidentified ranter says something, is it really an opinion?
No.
Conservatives have lost favor for Glenn Beck, so let's tie Cruz to Beck for good measure.
...well didn't Cruz's 3rd cousin by marriage buy one of Beck's books & sit in the pews of First Baptist? ...The Horror.
IIRC, that was Cleo Skousen who wrote that.
It's a fallacy to talk about religious "perfection" here. Obviously few people agree 100 percent on religion. But the doctrines described herein are not like the Catholics and Presbyterians debating transubstantiation. It's more like an alien species landing from planet Kolob with a strange language and bizarre and unacceptable cultural behaviors.
CleoN, rather.
Lots of interesting stuff in your post, especially about Beth Moore, Dominionists, etc. Can you do the same for Trump’s connections to liberation theology through the Roman catholic Church, Jesuits, etc.? It probably wouldn’t be difficult to link Hillary Clinton up with NAMBLA once we’re “out of the primary season.” I’m not anti-Trump by the way.
my belief is not involved
I observe and put forth a finding
Okay. As I said, I wasn’t sure of the book.
Really? I suggest you start clicking some links and doing some research if you think it's all "made up."
