Why the jeering at JEB? He was a solid governor of Florida. His father and brother both did good jobs for the country.

Sure you (and I) have differences with some of his views which are wrong for these times. Sure he is not a great candidate which is good from my point of view given my immediately prior statement.

Still I do not get why the need to jeer him?

Don't jeer Jeb?

Thanks for the laugh.

Well, I for one jeer him because KNOWING his views are "wrong for these times" he ran anyway, got MILLIONS of dollars from stupid donors to a campaign that can't get more than 5% in most polls, and takes up valuable space on a stage when we could be listening to the real candidates.

I met W in the Oval Office. I liked him and still think his general anti-terror strategy was right. But times have changed and for any family to put this much prestige and effort into---once again, someone as you said knows his views are out of step with Americans, well, it's unconscionable.

So he deserves to be ripped. Now, if he would generously and graciously throw all his money and support behind Trump, I'd rethink my opinion of him.

“Still I do not get why the need to jeer him?”

Because he’s a worthless dullard, who was the great moderate hope of the Establishment. He was going to be shoved down our throats and we were going to be FORCED to vote for him, with glee, as we were forced to vote for the ODIOUS John McCain and the phony Mitt Romney.

He was the WORST POSSIBLE candidate to get behind, and his failure should be openly and continually ridiculed.

Does it not disturb you at all that if he were the nominee and were successfully elected President that it would be essentially creating a dynasty? Perpetuating plutocracy should always be avoided in a republic. Especially when that candidacy is essentially bought from big donors. That, and his father and brother most certainly supported big-government solutions themselves. Jeb represents a continuation of that Democrat-lite tendency that has to be utterly expunged from the GOP. Like a cancer, it has to be removed, and jeering, bitterness, even ridicule, keep the knife sharp and make the removal more effective.

“Still I do not get why the need to jeer him?”

Because HE IS STILL RUNNING, and he is still the FIRST CHOICE of the GOPe. Any candidate with any decent morals would have been LONG GONE, considering the money that he started with, the support level he started with, and the endorsements he started with. HE NEEDS TO LEAVE, and then we’ll stop jeering him (maybe, LOL).

Think of this as a boxing match. The champ gets whallopped, maybe even goes down for a moment, barely gets through the match. Then what happens - he comes to his senses and the next thing you know, you’re on the ground and he’s kept the title. We need to CONSTANTLY POUND BUSH, at least until he quits, then we can back off (maybe, LOL).

Another example - Romney after the first debate in 2012 was actually BEATING OBAMA, but then he pulled back, so as to not pile on, and now we have Executive Action on gun control about to be shoved down our throats.

The best thing for people that feel sorry for Bush to do is tug on his shoulder and politely tell him that it’s over. He’s got many millions from the family trust, he and his family never have to worry about working to meet expenses - he can have a really nice retirement in Puerto Rico or Little Havana or somewhere else where he feels comfortable.
