We just take football more seriously in the South. We have some high school teams that seat more than college teams up North. Hell we tail gate at our high school football games. ( we have one team in our county)

Stanford is all about PC if anything. McCaffrey is am outstanding RB. One of the Stanford players won the Outland trophy too. But, Stanford did lose to pathetic Northwesten that got hammered 45 to 6 by Tennessee yesterday in some little bowl game.

My wife graduated Stanford in 76. She went to Eisenhower HS and was on student council. When she was a junior in HS, she was invited to the Eisenhower medical center dedication in Palm Springs where she met Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, and a few other celebs. She loved Reagan. I think he was Governor at the time..
Best Rose Parade broadcast by far: Stephanie and Bob on the Hallmark Channel. They talk about each float - the flowers, beauty, artistry, and intricacy of each, they don;’t mind showing their love of America or God, and they’re having fun. They are retiring this year after doing this for 30-some years. HATE to see them go.
The ABC broadcast turned me off big time. Hanna Storm tried to stay on the subject of the floats but the cynical guy with her obviously didn’t like the Christian, patriotic parade and they ended up talking mostly about themselves. The MSM in a nutshell - all about the MSM.

I cut the cable in 2014, was only able to see 'gators and Michigan(sorry man)on local channel...looking at all the blow-outs, doesn't look like I missed much.
