Nonsense! We’ve gotten lots of those. Plant your zuccinni too close to pumpkins or similar plants and you get cross pollening.

That’s what it looks like - a cross between a zuke and a pumpkin.

The students grew it large to save the seeds. Bet it tastes better at a smaller size.

The only problem with that is the pumpkins will take over your garden.

In the early 90’s, I did just that with acorn squash and pumpkins.

Let me tell you, the acorn squash were HUGE!

One of them IIRC was like 21 inches long!
