Donald Trump announced his run June 16, 2015.

Those words that came out of Donalds mouth, and then emblazened on those red hats saying, "Make America Great Again" Hmmm where did we hear that one before Donald came along????

Yep, it was from Ted Cruz months earlier.

"It's a time for truth, a time to rise to the challenge just as Americans have always done. It's going to take a new generation of courageous Conservatives to help make America great again. And I'm ready to help lead that fight."

Good job. So Cruz as I suspected did not beat The Donald to the punch. :-)

Ted is now using, Let’s Make America Even Better!

Doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Not true. First time I heard it was from Ronald Reagan in 1979 in his campaign for President.

If that's true he didn't/doesn't have the marketing brains to capitalize on it.

If he tries to use it now it will just make him look stupider just like when he said he's going to build a wall.

He's a "me too", "what about me?" candidate.

"... And I'm ready to help lead that fight."

Not very reassuring or showing any confidence. Who was he planning on helping? Trump, a genuine leader?

That slogan would be better without the “even”.

“Even” in it assumes that America is pretty good at the moment, which it isn’t.

How about, “lets make America a sovereign nation again”.

To me, it’s another sign that trump is a good parrot.

Don’t you mean, “Trump is a good Patriot!” Just add a T and change an r to a t.

Hint: You are not making America great again by squabbling over a phrase everyone knows dates back to Reagan and possibly before. Who cares? It is a phrase, not action. It's a slogan, not even a principle.

BTTT

Looks like the article (youtube) originated at TedCruz.org, BUT THE DATE IS MARCH 25, 2015!!!

On this final day of 2015, in unison, can we say "flame bait"?

Dear Lord, please grant us a Blessed, Happy, Healthy, (dare I ask for) Patriotic New Year!

Here’s the background that includes Trump’s trademarking in 2012:

He should have registered it as a campaign trademark.
Now it belongs to the American people.

Donald Trump just got the rights to use slogan,
'Make America Great Again'

Actually, Sen. Cruz was promoting the wall when trump was ragging on Gov. Romney for being too mean to illegal immigrants when Gov. Romney had suggested that illegal immigrants would self-deport for economic reasons.

And Sen. Cruz proposed a THREE YEAR moratorium for immigrants from 30 countries with al-quaeda and ISIS activity BEFORE trump proposed his several-month ban on moslems. For which trump wound up having to make exceptions anyway.

I’m for Cruz. It is still stupid to squabble over a phrase. I know my candidate is imperfect. I think he is still the best choice for conservatives. I won’t worship a candidate nor cover for one. Neither will I bully for one.
