Washington (CNN)-After repeatedly boasting that he has spent very little on his campaign so far, Donald Trump announced Tuesday that he will begin spending money in early primary and caucus states.
"My campaign for president is $35,000,000 under budget, I have spent very little (and am in 1st place). Now I will spend big in Iowa/N.H./S.C.," Trump tweeted.
I always expected him to start spending at some point.
I keep thinking this is merely a threat. For what reason I don’t know-—maybe to force the other guys to spend out. But I’m not convinced Trump will-—or needs to-—spend anything.
Regardless, who else in the campaign, ANYWHERE, can claim they are $35m UNDER budget for their campaign???
(in my most evil laugh) he, he, he, he’s unpredictable!!!
Lets get it on TRUMP. Trump for President.
The way he outright OWNS the entire media and the narrative, no, he really doesn't need to spend too much money except maybe some specific targeted advertising. His job of controlling the media is incredible to watch.
I posted on how you can’t trust the low information voter.
In my recent converstations with friends, family and strangers I have come to realize just how many people attempt to back up their opinion with simple sound bites which in an of themselves are a lie.
Never for one minute believe that a majority exists anywhere with the political knowledge of a active Freeper, even the crappy, trolly, stalky ones.
Trump needs to hit the airwaves hard with his straight talk. He owns this political season’s narrative and more people need to adopt his soundbites as their own rational thought. That’s just how it works, sadly.
What matters is getting people out to vote or caucus, in my opinion that will be exactly what the spending is aimed at. Trump won’t waste any money with bad timing. The spending will be as effective, efficient, and unpredictable as everything else he has done.
LOL. He could send an Uber to every IA voter and have money left over.
Actually not a bad idea. At least in the cities. I’m not sure if Uber made it out to the rural areas yet.

Couldn’t agree more.
He has a 14 point (avg) lead in NH, and he hasn't even had access to GOP voter rolls??
Is that true in IA as well??
Oh yeah, i’m betting Jeb will spend a billion s/
Up to now, The Donald has not had to spend just an awful lot, maybe the cost of getting around, and renting various venues for his rallies. But as far as publicity, he has had no end of sometimes fawning, sometimes vitriolic coverage in the press, and you just cannot BUY that kind of exposure. “All publicity is good publicity”, or something like that, certainly The Donald has not lacked for name recognition.
And he has been able to capitalize even on bad publicity, turning it around on the people who tried to malign or bluff their way into showing up The Donald for being some kind of fake. Those who have attacked him in the past have learned to their chagrin that somehow, The Donald’s numbers go UP, while they come off looking like the loser and bad guy.
His secret lies in attacking Political Correctness, and this is scoring points for him everywhere, as he points out obvious home truths time after time, defying this paralysis of analysis, and just blasting on through to make the confounding into the understandable.
I don’t know what Uber is. I suppose I should do some research.
How can an eBay for taxi rides be worth 62.5 Billion???
Glad to hear it. You can’t be too careful.
It’s a system of free-market rides replacing the cartel-ized cab systems. You have an app on your phone if you want to provide a ride for someone, you take the gig. You post your amount, they look on their phone, agree to take the ride from you at that amount.
