My son had to renounce his German citizenship at age 18 when he registered with Selective Service. How did Cruz retain dual citizenship until last year?
At this point it really doesn’t matter does it? This country has thrown out the rule of law, we run after whoever has the best con game. We elected a president who was not eligible and 7 years later, we see what divided loyalties have brought us. Now because Cruz and Rubio are white conservative republicans we’re running down the rabbit hole to do it again.
We don’t deserve the country we have. We claim we want this country to go back to following the constitution but we want to be able to parse laws and in Rubio’s case, misinterpret the 14th amendment so we can have our “rock stars.” The very fact that Cruz had dual citizenship should be a wake up call.
The very fact that we have to find interpretations of law to qualify them should be a major flag. I am not trying to sell a bill of goods. You vote for whoever you want to, secure in your belief that whether or not it is right, it is legal by your standards.
By the way, abortion is also legal. Oh, and gay marriage. See, just another interpretation of the laws.
Instead of blaming America .. why don’t you consider that the USA has a separate agreement with Germany .. and it could be quite different from the agreement with Canada.
Since we destroyed Germany in WWII; I suspect we had a lot of agreements regarding citizenship and marriage, etc.
However, in Canada, they have pretty much been on the side of the USA. That doesn’t mean our laws have changed .. maybe the laws of Canada have changed ..??
You just seem too eager to blame America for everything .. and Cruz for everything else.
