DIANA WEST: IT’S TIME TO RALLY AROUND DONALD TRUMP
BREITBART.COM ^ | 26 DECEMBER 2015 | DIANA WEST

Posted on 12/27/2015 2:27:54 AM PST by Helicondelta

Bozell states that Cruz is the one candidate who will return the United States to "her Constitutional foundations and Judeo-Christian values," explaining:

On every issue of crucial importance to conservatives-defunding Planned Parenthood, ending the Obamacare nightmare, reducing the size of government, opposing amnesty-Cruz is not only with conservatives, he's led the fight for conservatives.

To be honest, if these were the only issues under discussion in this GOP presidential primary season I would hardly be able to make myself pay attention. It's not that they are unimportant issues. Personally, I support every one of them. But they are not existential issues.

...

As Trump makes clear, our country's representatives have no clue. Worse, they seem content to remain in ignorance no matter how many Americans die, no matter how far sharia spreads. Not Trump. When you think about it, his call for a Muslim immigration moratorium is really a no-brainer - but whose "politically correct" brain is capable even of thinking of it, let alone calling for it out loud? I regret to say that Sen. Cruz does not support Trump's moratorium, deferring instead to a rosier vision of Islam and immigration screening both in order, politely, to reject it.

That's too bad, but so it goes, further testament to the fearless, agenda-setting powers of Trump. It's really quite incredible: soon, maybe even before it's too late, GOP primary voters will have a clear choice on walls, borders, immigration, even Islamic immigration (and, I would hope, the related issue of Islamic law), all because Donald Trump plucked these crucial issues from the void where the politicians, including good conservatives, have been eager to leave them.

Go Trump!

I’ll bet if a hundred freepers were given 100 million dollars by daddy at the age of 29 a few of them would be wealthier than Donald at 70. Just putting the money in an index fund would garner more than 19 billion.

So, the notion that he is some kind of genius businessman is dubius.

Not a 100 million, 40 million.

Of all the criticisms you could lob at Trump, this is a weirdly weak one.1 Basically, the man took a $40 million kernel and, while spending lavishly enough to surround himself with all the gold-plated bathroom fixtures his heart desired, managed to do a 26 percent better job growing his fortune than if he had quietly left it to grow in stocks without selling a single share or spending a single dividend check for 41 years. I’d say that’s pretty good. How many actual money managers could brag they’d done the same with their clients’ cash?

I believe at 10 % compounded for 31 years starting with 100 mil is 1.9 bil, but I could be wrong, might want to recheck your calculation

I just told you why you should doubt his reason. And it’s not about a single issue, it’s about his being a “party” man in the clutch.

"Well, who else would you attribute it to...The Pope?"

To attribute "bringing it back" to anyone, I'd have to acknowledge it was gone.

It wasn't.

As many people said "Merry Christmas" to me last year as this year, so it didn't go anywhere.

Even if it had, do you think one person could "bring it back?" Well...I guess you could, yeah. You people imbue that man with magical powers.

Well, I don’t know how it is there in Aragon, but up here in Maine, I never heard so much “Merry Christmas” in my life.

It certainly didn’t come from the RATs or RINOs (we’re afloat in both) nor the overabundant preachers (not that many)

He’s the only one I heard saying “We’re going to bring back Merry Christmas”.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I mean...he says it, and you believe it magically happens.

If people are saying it, it’s because they want to. They never needed the permission nor the prodding of some celebrity.

I’ll support a conservative, thanks. Which rules out Donald Trump.

I don’t, but he does speak to millions of people almost every day....several thousand at a time...live. That may have some impact as they repeat what he said.

That’s not magic, it’s marketing.

By the way...I’m not a Trump supporter, but I like his message and what it’s doing.

I’ll support the nominee, Catherine of Arrogant.

Only puppets go around repeating what some politician says.

Well, word of mouth is the best form of advertising.

Jesus liked it.

Hi puppet.

“...I just told you why you should doubt his reason...”

Awesome! And I just told you I have no reason to question him on it. Opinions do vary. You have other options so go find a different candidate to support if you don’t find Cruz acceptable. Good luck with that!
