Little Drummer Boy...My very favorite...came out when I was eight.Sill makes me cry. So you're about a year older than I am.

Some, if not most, might not like this version, but I for one think it’s nothing less than pure epicness !

Why it’s not viewed as macabre? Nobody is reacting like a tragedy had happened. Maybe grandma was the wickedest witch in redneckdom?

I’ve hated those stupid chipmunks ever since I was a kid-but all of those tunes make my teeth itch-and the stereo in my truck is tuned to my fav classic rock station-and they have vowed not to play annoying Christmas music...

Hey - this is supposed to be a collection of worst songs :)
Fairytale is definitely my all-time secular favorite - I just wish the language was less vulgar (could have still gotten the point across).
Now, as for worst, I am surprised no one has mentioned Silent Night/7:00 news.

Out of curiosity as a kid I’d play the Chipmunk records at half speed (the old turntable I had supported 16-2/3 as well as 33/1-3). The voices now were normal, if the songs slow.

Add to the list "Baby It's Cold Outside"..the original date rape song. That's a bit of a stretch.
Baby it's cold outside
The original from Neptune's Daughter
Neptune's Daughter is a 1949 musical romantic comedy film released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer starring Esther Williams, Red Skelton, Ricardo Montalbán, Betty Garrett, Keenan Wynn, Xavier Cugat and Mel Blanc.
Then maybe you are thinking of this version:

“Jingle Bell Rock” gets in my head, and I CAN’T get it out!! I hate it! It has to be the bottom of my list. Top is “Oh Holy Night.”

My choice for the worst Christmas song of all time is
Dem Revolutionaeren Jesus zum seinem Geburtstag (On the revolutionary Jesus on his birthday), a Communist Christmas carol. The singer is Ernst Busch, a hard-core Stalinist whose hits include
Staiin, Friend and Comrade and
The Song of the [Socialist Unity] Party. Interestingly, the melody sounds like it came from a sixteenth-century Lutheran hymn (and it may very well have).
The song portrays Jesus as a well-meaning and brave champion of the proletariat who ultimately failed in his cause.
The first verse is as follows:
Almost two thousand years
Since you, the sacrificial lamb of life,
Left the world,
You gave the poor their God.
You suffered through ridicule
From the rich.
You did it in vain!

Hatsune Miku, Queen of the Vocaloids sings Silent Night. It’s half in Japanese and half English, which Miku sings very well for not being natiive to the language. As an added bonus, check out the English translation.

I hate “Baby Please Come Home” (or whatever the actual title is.) Even Bono cannot reconcile me to this wretched song, and it seems to be playing in every store I walk into.

My wife’s worst Christmas song moment. Driving three small children around in August in a minivan with no AC, and she submits to a demand for Alvin and the Chipmunks “Christmas Song” with the windows rolled down.

"Jingle Bell Rock" gets in my head, and I CAN'T get it out!! It just makes me think of the opening scenes of the first Lethal Weapon movie. Blonde girl jumping off the balcony, remember?
