Out of curiosity as a kid I’d play the Chipmunk records at half speed (the old turntable I had supported 16-2/3 as well as 33/1-3). The voices now were normal, if the songs slow.
Were there any subliminal messages, like some weird people used to say about Louie Louie by the Kingsmen?
The chipmunks sound like they are sucking helium...
