Paul Ryan's Christmas Warning: American Companies Will Shut Down Without More Foreign Workers
Breitbart ^ | December 23, 2015 | Julia Hahn

Posted on 12/24/2015 5:35:22 AM PST by maggief

In a Tuesday morning interview with radio host Bill Bennett, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)56% defended his omnibus bill's controversial expansion in the H-2B visa program, which would allow foreign workers to fill blue-collar American jobs, by arguing that if the provision were not included, American companies would be forced to shut their doors.

Bennett pressed Ryan on the details of the H-2B visa expansion, slipped 700-pages into Ryan's 2,009-page omnibus spending bill-asking Ryan directly, "Do you believe there are not enough Americans to fill these jobs?"

In response, Ryan described the H-2B visa expansion as "a very small, discrete provision."

Despite the nation's high levels of unemployment and stagnating wages, Ryan continued on to assert, without offering evidence in support of his claim, that corporations are facing a shortage of labor, which rendered the provision necessary. Ryan said:

The reason that this was passed is because there was some seasonal surge jobs that they can't find local workers to fill, like the seafood packaging industry in Chesapeake Bay. You have seafood season, you need people to package those things, to can them. In the North, we have the summer tourism industry. What it is is there's seasonal industries where they can't find local people to do the jobs: kids are already in college or things like that where you have a surge in workers.

I have written and called my reps. The snarky and condescending answers I received (when they bothered to answer) were nothing but infuriating.

And I did hold my nose and vote for the last two losers the GOPe forced on us, even after the GOPe clearly torpedoed the best man for the job before most of the country even had a chance to vote in the primaries.

The ONLY office that matters any longer is that of county sheriff. I make a point of personally talking to my candidate each election, and it does make a difference.

He is wrong; many people aren’t working because the disruption of the supply & demand relationship of labor to wages has been skewed by the open borders. I don’t know whether or not American fast-food workers are worth $15/hour, but we’ll never know their true worth as long as workers babbling in foreign tongues are taking their jobs. That same dynamic is working its way upwards through America’s workforce; so many bank tellers (even managers) in my area are foreigners, because the banks tired of paying competent English-speaking Americans to do the work.

BTW, when companies pay 60% of the going (pre-amnesty) wage, we get workers who have 30% of the knowledge of the former American workers. Companies don’t care if you spend an extra fifteen minutes in line at a cashier or bank teller.

Ryan is talking out of both sides of his mouth; he wants to talk about “workers” to hide the true agenda: This country is shrinking in population (in terms of Americans), and these immigrants are here to keep our housing, school systems, and store aisles full. The fact that American taxpayers are footing their bills means nothing to our political elites; they need clients to govern, and we’re not providing them.

The Republican party is useless. This shows how out of touch they are with mainstream America.

Bull, we are at replacement level of birth. But if you took away the parasitic drag effect of massive immigration native Americans would start to reproduce at higher rates.

ryan is trying to fill employers’ pressing need for workers with experience making pipe bombs, operating AK -47s, and who can speak Arabic and Pharsi. I see these ads out all the time.

There is no indication whatsoever that American are replacing themselves (without factoring in welfarian birthrates, and many of those are foreigners anyway). Americans aren’t having children for many reasons, one of the prime ones being the fact that their jobs could be gone in a month.

Never mind all this, Paul, we just want to make sure you’re getting plenty of quality family time.

Ryan is learning a lot from his mentor, Barry Soetoro. Americans are gullible and stupid. Lying works every time you do it.

Ryan is dangerous and a Trojan horse who was put into this job to insure more cheap labor, open borders and bad trade like TPP. The Club for Growth supports every candidate we don’t want. It’s all about immigration and bad trade, like TPP. Demint even supports Ryan. He was fading more and more and went to work for Heritage. Heritage’s head economist is Steven Moore, open border hack who along with Norquist & Cesar Conda destroyed Prop. 187 in Ca.
We have no institutions left fighting this.

Ryan was hand picked for DC Politics by one Cesar Conda, open border, free traitor lobbyist who happens to be chief of staff for....MARCO Rubio...one in the house, one in the senate...double Trojan horse!

Ryan is a major disappointment

To loosely quote Dennis Green, "He is what we thought he was."

Several years ago the Federals pulled a raid at a Tyson owned packing plant in Nebraska. The plant was shut down because two thirds of the workforce was hauled off in busses.

The plant ran ads in local papers and on radio advertising the jobs open, the duties and starting pay of each job.

The plant reported receiving approximately twenty times more applications than there were jobs. The applications were from white and black CITIZENS of the state.
Illegals fled the area for several years.

I know this because I was attempting to pick up a load at the plant when the raid was going on.
Federal agent told me to find a place to park and come back in a few hours.

I know there are Americans who will do the jobs.
I have seen what happens when the illegal workforce is taken away.

Cut out the foodstamps and tax credits and they would have plenty if people wanting to work....or starve! But he is a liberal and that never crosses his mind.

Exactly
We have plenty of people. What we don't have is people in need. The governments are supplying tens of millions of able bodied citizens with enough to satisfy their requirements of shelter, food, clothing.
These millions have zero incentive to work. Cut out the welfare and see what happens.

I believe 14 births per 100000 is above replacement levels. My point is remove the parasites, immigration and taxes and the population will bloom.

People losing their jobs on H1B aren’t welfare types.

Companies like these H visas because the workers HAVE to stay with them. It’s indentured servitude.
