In the conversation with the donor, Cruz was asked if gay marriage was a top-three priority for him and he said it wasn't.
In a recording provided to POLITICO, Cruz answers a flat "No" when asked whether fighting gay marriage is a "top-three priority", an answer that pleased his socially moderate hosts but could surprise some of his evangelical backers. By late summer, she said, the River Valley Teenage Republicans were a grassroots advocacy group working to put Cruz over the top.

The better answer is that it is time to get government out of the business of defining and enforcing who is married and who is not. That is a private matter and the sooner we remove that power from government, the better if only because then the #PinkSwastika crowd would no longer be able to use government to force cake bakers and wedding photographers into involuntary servitude to provide services to same sex weddings.
#BakeTheCake!
The unconstitutional forcing of this law on America is one of thousands of leaves on hundreds of branches on a bunch of trunks that hit the ground in a single root system.
That evil tree will double in size in the time it takes you take out that leaf, if you're even successful.
The left, in reading this as a problem, continues to experience reality in a world of cliches and sound bites made up by themselves and misses everything of import in Cruz's and Trump's ideas. Conservatives are not, in fact, a group of dimwitted angry homoislamaphobic whites trembling that they won't be a majority. We don't, as they do, consider our skin color to matter at all.
This will be another instance of conservatives surprising the totally unaware media, and in response, the media will see conservatives only that much more a band of cult followers who don't even stick to their own ideals, so enamored are they of Trump and Cruz.
It's remarkably clueless, and I didn't believe it at first. It's not that the left hates our ideas, it's that they are incapable of even perceiving them.
You continue to post this tripe from all sort of different sources. Do you think that a President should over step the powers given to him by the Constitution? Trump promises all sorts of things that the Constitution says the President can’t do. Obama is trying to do the same B.S. with E.O.’s. A dictatorship is not what I want to see in 2016.
you’ve already posted this Cruz gay thing at least once already today. What’s the purpose of posting it multiple times?
I looked at a dozen stories on that “PopHerald” site.
Not a single comment on any of them. Not one.
Oh, Helicondelta is a pro-Trump troll - which should give her an infinite pass around here.
I see where you are going. Wait no. I don't see anything. Enlighten me.
Basically, I don’t think anyone reads it, or has ever heard of it.
No names in their “About Team” page. It mentions that the website has a “founder,” but does not name that person.
AND, IMHO has been putting "ineligible" and "canadian" in keyword articles which many have posted.
We seem to have an anti-Cruz slur troll among us.
With who?
To me it’s not a top three issue, but how it was enacted (judicial dictatorship) is. Ditto abortion. Others may feel differently, but that’s my take.
So what could possibly be more important than fighting against gay marriage to a conservative...hmmm let's see... maybe fighting against terrorists? Maybe downsizing government spending and expansion? Maybe fighting judicial activism before they give us additional social edicts like gay marriage? Maybe stopping illegal immigration?
