BREAKING: Shocking Report Exposes Secret Behind Trump’s Support… It’s NOT What It Seems

Donald Trump has been a front-runner in the 2016 presidential election since he entered the race over the summer, and now new analysis of the polls has suggested that Americans may actually be understating their support for him.

In an analysis conducted by Morning Consult, it was discovered that Trump has done better in online polls than in surveys conducted over the phone.

The study noted: "Trump receives about 5 percentage points more support among registered Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents online compared with live telephone interviews."

The firm's polling director, Kyle Dropp, spoke with the Los Angeles Times and explained why Trump's support may appear higher in online polls and why the online polls are more accurate.

Dropp noted that many of Trump's supporters, especially those with college educations, are "less likely to say that they support him when they're talking to a live human" than when they are in the "anonymous environment."

In fact, the study showed that adults answering questions about Trump on the phone were more likely to hide their opinion from the surveyor because of "a social desirability bias in which respondents answer questions in a manner they believe will be viewed favorably by others."

On the other hand, blue-collar Republicans answered the same regardless of the method.

The study was widespread. Some 2,397 potential Republican voters were polled in early December, either by telephone survey, an online survey or by an interactive dialing technique.

Dropp said that the results of the experiment were clear.

"Voters are about 6 points more likely to support Trump when they're taking the poll online then when they're talking to a live interviewer," he said.

While Trump continues to lead in the Republican Party primary, voters may be surprised by Trump's overwhelming number of supporters.

"It's our sense that a lot of polls are under-reporting Trump's overall support," Dropp concluded. _______________________________________________________

Yep! I knew it! I just found out this past week that my sisters like Trump!

Hopefully, Trump's support will be even more evident in the confines of the voting booth!

GO TRUMP!!!

I never answer the phone unless I recognize the name or number. I’m guessing that I’m not alone in this.

50 State landslide. It might happen.

But Hawaii is a tough state to win.

They made it extremely “uncool” to like Trump and go against the PC grain

Yet, I suspect many will vote for him secretly and not tell their supposedly PC friends (who will also vote for him secretly)

Trump is going to blow everyone away simply because folks believe him when he says he wants to put America first... Something any politician should do but clearly has not been the case for a long long time.

I know he is under polling in certain segments and will bring in blue collar and blue dog democratic votes as well. It won’t be a 1984 blowout but it’s going to be the biggest one since then.

My wife is very conservative in her beliefs but typically votes democratic because she’s a government/union employee. She is all about voting Donald Trump. I know of a couple other females in similar positions that are enthusiastically pro-Trump. he has tapped into something here.

I have anecdotal evidence too.

A sister who voted for Obama twice praises Trump.

A friend who is at best libertarian-liberal and never votes Republican is all in on Trump.

There is a movement afoot...

Reagan managed to win Hawaii once, but not Minnesota or DC. Nixon managed to win Minnesota once, but not DC or Massachusetts.

I've heard this theory before and it seems to hold water. Many people find it easier to avoid stating they are for Trump so they either say they haven't made up their mind or they go with somebody non-controversial like Ben Carson.

I'm guilty of this myself. In the workplace, I'm tight-lipped about my support for Trump. Don't need to get into arguments in the workplace. But I tell people I am comfortable with and in most cases, they feel the same way.

Especially now that Leftists have their marching orders to shoot Trump supporters wherever they are found...

Yes, and I predict this will change once he starts unloading on Hillary. Now that he is turning his mockery on her phony #waronwomen meme, I think we will see a lot of people come out cheering him.

Live on the phone polling is NOT a good polling indicator anymore...

Typically you are getting older, more conservative voters who actually STILL have a landline...

Though I don't doubt the results in the article, I don't think it means much...

I think the amount of support Trump will get from the African American and Hispanic communities will blow the liberals away

Beautiful place to visit,, but the blatant racism exhibited outside the tourist areas and the “gimme gimme” mentality of the rats there destroys it for me... I say let them be the one that doesn’t go with the rest and cut them off from all federal funds in any way possible,, make them scream.
