Whoever wins the GOP nomination, should suck it up and name Fiorina as VP candidate. She can say truthful things about Hillary, that need to be said, that no man can get away with, in order to attract a certain number of women voters who’ve given the White House to the dhimmicrats four of the last six elections.

The Senate sets it’s own rules per the Constitution. There is no Constitutional role of the VP in the Senate except being the tie breaking vote.

Honestly, I would hate this because it trashes the separation of powers and sets an awful precedent for those Republic-hating libs to take advantage of.

We just had a VP who claimed he was his own branch of .gov. Dick Cheney.

The VP already has a defined limited role in the Republic.

If he doesn’t get the nomination, I’d leave Cruz right where he is in the Senate to challenge for majority leader.

Make Sessions AG...

Let the conservative Cruz be President. Trump could run for the Senate against Schumer and then he could try to run the Senate.

In the early 1900s Speaker of the House Joe Cannon rewrote the rule book on how the Speaker of the House controlled the committees. There is nothing to say that the president of the senate, to some degree, can’t do the same.

He’s my candidate, but he’d have to get there without my vote. As long as Trump is anywhere on the ticket, I’m not voting. Count me as part of the 50% that’s embarrassed.

I do not think Trump can beat Hillary - he does not know enough about how government works or know about the middle east countries and their leaders and the various conflicts over there to beat Hillary. All Trump does is use personal attacks against his opponents and he will do that in debates with her and look like a fool (as he does now at times).

I do think our conservative candidate Cruz has the ground work covered in most counties of the US to beat Trump and I do know Cruz will destroy Clinton in debates. I pray it happens.

Cruz can't help Trump win, and he can't change the fact that the VP's role in the Senate is ceremonial.

In the event of a 50-50 split (which actually is rather likely after 2016), the VP could become important, but Cruz has made so many enemies in the GOP caucus it's unlikely that he could become a person of influence.

Much better for him (and us) to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the court when she dies or resigns. There, he can sit for forty years, not worry abut pissing people off, and use his skills as a debater and constitutional expert to best effect.

Trump is going to need an ambassador to Congress when he's sworn in, and Cruz is just not that guy.

Should Cruz win the nomination and chooses Trump as his running mate...how do we see that shake down? Might that be in the cards and would it be acceptable to most should it happen?
