Revolution is a bad idea unless and until we have exhausted all peaceful attempts to restore free government. It is what our Founders attempted, and we should do the same.
“Free Government” is my term for government that respects unalienable rights and lawmaking with the consent of the governed, as per our Declaration.
The only possible way to restore free government is through, as you say, an Article V Convention.
The Left is fast shutting down all opposition; there is little time to convene.
Can you name one Amendment, aside from quartering, that ISN’T hanging by a thread? Anything that DOESN’T require govt permission, some fee/tax/toll?
Did not We the People elect (R) into all 3 houses in the past decade? We got BIGGER govt, faster (TSA, DHS, NSA, NCLB...). Did we not sweep Congress this past election? And what did We get? Nada...we get to foot another bill for the big $$ donators (PP, exec. amnesty, Ex-Im Bank).
Even our States, per your definition, are no longer ‘free govt’ entities (NY, CA, IL..).
How many MORE of these peaceful attempts before We finally decide enough is enough? Or, do We too wait until the herding onto the box-cars to finally attempt to break the shackles We allowed to be placed?
