The time has come for desperate measures against the Oligarchy.
Mitch McConnell is safely ensconced in the Senate Majority Leader position, for the Establishment and its donors went all out in 2014 to protect him.
And we know the Establishment and its donors will do the same to protect Paul Ryan. They will work to destroy anybody to dares to run against him in a primary. And then they will just say "too bad, republicans, itâs Ryan or the democrat."
The Establishment can protect Paul Ryan from conservatives in a primary, but they cannot protect Paul Ryan from conservatives in a general election (unless they can convince their buddies the democrats to allow Ryan to run unopposed, which isn't likely)!
Therefore, the conservatives in Paul Ryan's district can do the nation a service by voting against him in November of next year, and not just by withholding their votes, but by actively voting for the democrat.
Even if not defeated, Paul Ryan will be significantly weakened in his position, prompting others to rise up and run for speaker in January, 2017.
We must do all we can, and only the conservatives in Paul Ryan's district can do it.
And before I am accused of being a shill for the democrats, I ask that you think about all the Establishment donors who said that if Trump or Cruz is the Republican nominee, that they will vote for Hillary.
I ask that you think about John Warner endorsing Tim Kaine, or Richard Lugar endorsing Michelle Nunn, or Dede Scozzafava endorsing Bill Owens, or Bill Bolling endorsing David McCauliffe, or the republican legislators who endorsed Sam Brownback's opponent in Kansas last year. And on, and on.
It’s the only way the Republicans will fear the loss of their cushy jobs.
Because a candidate like Romney would never ever pick someone like Ryan as his running mate because he liked his sellout style.
Ryan is in a very competitive distrinct (+3% Republican), so it wouldn’t take a lot in the general election to unseat him, depending on who his Dem opponent is.
If you can’t stomach voting for a Democrat, just leave that race as a “No Vote”, which would be a 1 vote difference in the counts, versus voting for the Dem which would be a 2 vote difference in the counts.
I would too.
At least we will get to help pick our executioner/
Get back on the turnip trunk you fell off.
He needs to go whatever it takes to make it happen. Same for my (R) congresswomen - Mimi Walters.
I wish that he had a primary opponent.
No, we have Obama because of the GOPe and the RNC running the ONLY candidates who could not beat Obama, rather than running conservatives.
When I was in the Army many years ago, I spent an 18 month stint at the testing agency at Fort Bliss. One of my jobs was to handle the VIP briefings at the agency (several times a week). I was tasked with all briefings up to the equivalent rank of Lieutenant General...my boss said he'd handle everyone over that, although I was to be in attendance.
Part of my platform will be to steal a page from Francisco d'Anconia, to give conservatives and Tea Partiers "to give you the words you need for the time when you'll need them."
My campaign would not direct scorn, anger, or disgust at Mr. Marchant, but extreme disappointment that our representative in Washington would vote to fund Planned Parenthood and every other policy initiative of Barack Obama and the Democrats.
It sticks in my craw, but if I lived in Ryan's district, I would have to consider this proposition. While you and I don't always agree, in this case, you are on to something very valid.
If paul ryan, in a 'safe district' ala eric cantor, is kicked to the curb, for a demonRAT, the remaining pubbies would crap in their depends for days on end.
What difference would it make. Ryan or any democrap would be like two peas in a pod.
Idiocy.
Wherever you are in the country, the Republican is almost always better than the Democrat. That is a law of nature.
There are no good Democrats alive, either in the wild or in captivity.
Another thing you should know: moves like this one are often organized by liberal Democrats.
The same goes for some ads run in the Republican primary. Some of the most vicious ones are paid for by shadowy, ad hoc groups allied with the Democrats. The idea is to foment residual grudges among the Republicans, which gives them an advantage in the general election.
This is why Reagan had the 11th Commandment.
Just heard on the snooze at the top of the hour a clip of Ryan that they have passed more bills in his short tenure than before him. What an ass he is.
I approve. Alexander & Corker have survived primaries. To get rid of these lesser of two very evil GOPe one must vote for the evil democrat. Its the only way to oust these entrenched b@$t@rds
“If Republicans want to govern against their base, how do any incumbents intend to win their seat back without us? As far as Iâm concerned, Iâm done with them.”
This comment made me chuckle, not for what you said, but for the image that popped into my head.
We all know how Dems essentially voted for RINO Thad Cochran so Thaddie could defeat his tea party opponent in MS. Wouldn’t it be funny if next year in Paul Ryan’s district, if a tea party opponent is found... If the district had Dems crossing over to vote for Ryan, canceling out the Republicans voting for the tea party guy, then when Ryan won and went on to the general election, his Repub constituents ALL voted for the Democrat to make an example of him.
I swear it was funny swirling around in my head. Seeing it in writing just illustrates how deeply our country has fallen into the UniParty abyss of self-destruction.
This idea of targeting Ryan was floating around on Twitter last night and I made a few comments about it here. The more I think about it, the more I hope it comes to fruition. We need to target at LEAST one of these UniParty RINOs in every single election cycle. Make it where NONE of them can see themselves as being in a “safe district.” We could even throw them a cyber-based Loser Party afterward. The liberal media would love to cover it (ie good coverage nationwide). Add in a few public remarks from President Trump and VP Cruz, and the entire RINO Congress would be struck with a massive case of loose stools syndrome. Hahaha!!!
Ever so much more preferable to voting for a Dem!
And, it sends an unmistakable message to the other Congress Critters (whereas a Dem win, would not.) I would prefer a GOPer opposed Ryan, if not in a primary, then in a write-in landslide!
.
those patriotic conservatives who want to seek public office need to start using the democrat ploy and run and hold office as a democrat. Well, it works for the democrats to run as republicans as we can clearly see.
“No, we have Obama because of the GOPe and the RNC running the ONLY candidates who could not beat Obama, rather than running conservatives.”
Not at all true. No one else would have won. Here is the proof.
After the first term of Obama, the electorate should have learned their lesson and voter for anyone but Obama. In fact, Romney was better than McCain. But what was the result? Exactly the same, within a few %-points.
Only a small proportion of the electorate ever changes votes. They mostly vote the way they think they should, with about as much thought as it takes to support one football team over another. In fact, people follow sports more closely, and with more attention, although the results mean nothing for their own lives.
The reason Obama wants to flood the country with people from socialistic countries is to change the result of elections. Note that the quotas for British and other western Europeans are very small: less than for Central America, an area with no democratic tradition except for Costa Rica.
That is the only way we are going to get rid of some of these Snakes.
Cut off the head.
