Barack Obama has been savaged by a top spending campaigner for taking the First Family on an eighth consecutive Christmas vacation to Hawaii, at huge expense to the American taxpayer.
The President was accused of treating Air Force One, which costs $206,000/hour to run, 'like an Uber ride' ahead of his next jaunt to his home state.
Fly-time alone will set taxpayers back somewhere in the region of $3.5million as Obama, the First Lady, Sasha and Malia and their two dogs jet off for around two weeks.
They have traditionally rented a luxury villa in the upscale Kailua area on Oahu, the main island, and head out for hikes, rounds of golf and restaurant meals with their friends.
Tom Fitton, the head of the Judicial Watch pressure group, said Obama's holiday habit proves that he is out of touch - and has to stop.
He told AL.com: 'The Obamas' travel is out of control. They are treating the Air Force One like an Uber ride.
'And President Obama seems oblivious to the burden he is placing on Americans with his continuous vacations, getaways, and political junkets at taxpayer expense.'
During the trips, the Obamas are accompanied by a substantial Secret Service detail, who costs thousands of dollars a day to accommodate in the idyllic vacation spot.
Local police also work overtime and an ambulance trails the Presidential party at all times in case of disaster - all of which will push the total further into the millions.

NOW??? His LAST Christmas in office???
We’ve been hollering about this manic personal spending of his for SEVEN years!
Sheesh.
True.
I just cannot wait for these people to GTFO of DC and off of the public stage. 1/20/17 CANNOT come soon enough.
The left loves it when Hussein pisses off the Right no matter what the cost.
We could all move and leave no forwarding address...

I understand that it seems petty to begrudge a vacation, etc.
But isn’t it a little bit odd that they never go back to Chicago? Its as if they (including their daughters) had no roots there. Barry hasn’t lived in Hawaii for decades...so why pick it (every single time) over his alleged home of Chicago?
And there’s another element to this - how he treats his hired help (secret service) and staff, and even media lackeys. By going so far away, he is essentially telling them “screw you, you’re not spending any of the holidays with your family”.
I don’t begrudge him a vacation...but can’t there be some limits? I don’t think if he tried, he could find a vacation spot that cost the taxpayers more money, and disrupted the lives of his staff more.
We allow our exalted elected leaders to be treated like royalty. And our exalted elected leaders expect to be treated like royalty. It makes it easier to accept the exalted status of our elected leaders if we just accept our role as peons.
Certainly nobody put a stop to Hillary during Bill’s last year. Remember the grand tour of China with the gold bathroom hauled around on a trailer and an entourage of 800, including Chelsea, Chelsea’s friend, her mother and who know which other members of her family? And then she went to the Australian Olympics. And she traipsed all over the mid-east. I remember pictures of her and Chelsea on camels.
Its not that he keeps going. ..it’s that he comes BACK!
Yes. The last seven years have proven that they ARE ghetto-rats that won the lottery.
More specifically, the 0bamas have shown what happens when people who have never earned anything are given money and power.
One of Trump’s biggest assets as a candidate is that he’s not a professional politician. He earned what he has, or at least appears to have done so.
Wouldn’t you rather Christmas in Hawaii than Chicago?
And I don’t think you can really hang the SS thing on him, since W used to drag them to Texas in August.
Oh, I agree with all that—but it looks petty for the GOP to be pointing it out.
Obama embraces the culture of “get as much as you can when you can” undoubtedly because he believes that what everyone else does. It’s certainly what everyone he knows does.
“Dude. I havenât heard that phrase in 40 years.”
That’s ‘cuz you haven’t been to my house.
