“I believe Cruz’s strategy is go after the enablers paying the illegals to stay here. Prosecute. Cut of the food supply and the illegals self deport. I like that plan. It’s cheapest, honest, and most effective. We don’t have to deport because their empty bellies will make them long for home. They got here on their own steam, make it easier for them to leave.”

I repeated your post because you understand how it could really be done. Trump saying he will quickly get rid of them cannot be legally done without each one of them going before a judge and the estimate was something like 20 years to get rid of them. The Cruz plan of using existing law to make them leave on their own makes total sense.

I saw that happen one time when we still enforced the law. I went to a Mexican restaurant south of Houston and there were government border patrol officers blocking the front door. Then, they brought out some men who had been working in the kitchen. They were illegals the restaurant had hired. Not long after that, the restaurant closed. If employers were fined for hiring those people, they would go back to Mexico.

Bingo, bingo, bingo! It's a strategy that works cleanly, legally, and without delay. I think it is brilliant. And, I believe Cruz could pull it off -- after all, the laws are already on the books today. We just need to enforce them. And that is something we've been demanding for decades.
