During a lunch break at The Atlantic LGBT summit Thursday, attendees were invited to watch an informal panel discussion on transgender civil rights. Panelists included several transgender activists, as well as several non-trans panelists included for their expertise on legal issues (such as Equal Employment Opportunity Commissioner Chai Feldblum) or proximity to the conversation (such as an Atlantic staff writer who covers social justice). This, it turns out, was problematic.

After yesterday's summit, I'm pretty sure we should start drawing up the divorce papers. Again and again, people scoffed at the ideas of religious liberty and of furthering LGBT equality via non-governmental means.
How does it feel losertarians to the "useful idiots" of the LGBT movement? Anybody with half a brain would realize when the LGBT movement argues they are a new Civil Rights Movement that means those who oppose them would be treated as Segregationists and banished from polite society. For some reason, losertarians didn't grasp this and now they are "shocked" the LGBTs are assaulting individual and institutions they do not like.
What is really telling is the total lack of concept or understanding that they are not the majority, or a sizable minority, or actually much of a group at all.
If they keep pushing this hard to force everyone to bow at their alter, there are plenty of Maccabees who will stand up and say that enough is enough. The resultant swing back to conservative or libertarian ideas could set these whiners way back.
And I do not think it is too far away.
I’m afraid the American people will choose LGBT every time over religious freedom.
Haven't seen even a glimpse of opposition!
Too busy cheering the new roman emperor.
The younger generation has been brainwashed.
Having read the U.S. Constitution I have found the reference to people rights concerning religion. It is clearly stated and speaks DIRECTLY to religion. I have not found the reference to people’s choice of sex or to peoples right to any particular delusion in their minds.
What part of the current “process” of implementing the LGBTQ agenda involves the “American people” being given a choice other than to cow down to the decisions being made by judges, legislators and various government executives?
The “people” are sovereign for about 12 hours every two years on the first Tuesday in November. (And that is only because the governing class hasn’t yet figured out how to make the interval longer.) The rest of the time, we are expected to put up (our taxes) and shut up (lest we break the new laws being enacted almost daily against offending this or that victim group).
We are a long way from the limited government deriving it’s just powers from the consent of the governed that was envisioned by the founders of the Republic.
That must have been a fun crowd.
“Hey, Joe! Can I borrow your pearls for the garden party this afternoon?”
“Sure, M’zawa. They’re in my suitcase right under my jock. But I wouldn’t wear pearls to an outdoor party in the afternoon.”
“Oh, it’s okay. My wife, Bob, just loves me in them. Tell me, does this Spandex pantsuit make my butt look fat?”
Of course freedom loses. Homosexuals were the original members of the NAZI party in the late 1800’s.
Oh, there’s opposition alright. Nobody on earth’s going to make us attend a “gay wedding” or watch a movie with gay content, or pretend that homosexuality is anything but a mental affliction.
It is Kristallnacht Clear that in a single night the NAZI’s purged all the Homosexuals in the German Military by killing all the officers known gay.
On Nov. 21 and Dec. 5, 2015, voters in Louisiana and Houston elected LGBT supporters as governor and mayor.
