I am going to respectfully disagree.

Carly and Carson flashed because they were “new” and their flaws unknown.

Cruz is a very known quantity, very much a conservative, and has been the favorite of FreeRepublic long before Trump considered running.

So, it’s a very different dynamic.

As I’ve said frequently, it’s so refreshing to have a populist like Trump and a solid conservative like Cruz in the lead. For the last 8 years, it’s been a choice between terrible fake conservatives like Gov. Huckleberry and RINO McCain.

With Trump or Cruz, we actually have a shot as something good.

That is true, in fact I was an early supporter of Ted Cruz for President I was also a financial donor. But once the TPA debate started, Cruz basically said we have to pass it to find out what is in TPP. I knew right then and there that he was not fighting to pass TPA because that is what his constituents wanted, he was fighting for TPA because he needed big money to kick in on his campaign. I have not, and will not actively support him ever again.
