Can I ask a stupid question?

How can a Muslim woman even be a judge? If she’s a devout Muslim, who knows her place as a 2nd class citizen in her religion, by definition she can’t be in a position of authority such as being a judge.

Who says she is devout? There are cultural muslims just like there are cultural Christians.
