Even if Cruz doesn’t say anything else about Trump’s judgement or attack him in any way, I think Trump will use this one comment to justify attacking Cruz. After all Trump likes to go on the attack, no matter what he says. He’s been relentless at times during this campaign in going after his opponents, and he’s been as nasty as any of them.
We’ll see how things shake out. Cruz clearly has a strategy as evidenced by the audio. Maybe he will go more on the attack at some point, or maybe he just wants to be the last guy standing with Trump.
I agree with that. The whole point of the Trump campaign is to keep things out in the open.

NYT set up a conflict between Trump and Cruz.
They want both Trump and Cruz to be destroyed.

Seriously though, is Cruz really so foolish as to think there is such a thing as "speaking confidentially to a group of backers" in the age of smart phones? Somebody will record and release it.
What was Cruz supposed to say in his private meeting? That Trump is the man, and that he’s going to lose?
Trump doesn’t hit Cruz in those tweets. All he said is don’t say things in private that you wouldn’t say in public.

Granted Cruz did slightly start something, but they should both not get into it.
The New York Times, and Bloomberg, are both leftist, and both are opposed to both Trump and Cruz.
All Cruz has to do is not say anything for 48 hours and the media cycle will run and this will be over. Trump will need to keep himself in the news and since there will be nothing to counter-punch against, it won’t be bringing up Cruz again.

BTW: Cruz did not say anything critical of Trump. Cruz says almost always, who is the one that has "actually stood up to Washington Elites" (or close to that).
That is what he means by the Judgment statement, he has actually fought on the floor of the Senate, and I for one am very proud of him for that, and it is not just PUFF. JMO
Miscalculation by Donald...this is a mistake that might hurt him. Cruz never pointed an attack at Trump, its very telling how thin skinned Trump is by this.

You couldn’t see the situation if it hit you in the face...you, me or anyone else doesn’t know what is being played out with Trump or Cruz...are you sitting in their meetings, are you working hand in glove with either of them on the important matters of our Country?
