The 'slight barf' is for the first half of the story - using the voices of a few people at a rally to attack all of Trump's supporters.

The writer went there to condemn Trump fans. By the end, the writer recognized Trump has an appeal beyond what the MSM could ever understand. Interesting read.

I waited a couple of hours to see him in OKC. It was a great evening!

We never see this at left wing rallies.

I waited 3.5 hours to see him in Norfolk, VA and then another 1.5 hours while he talked. I’d do it again tomorrow.

The writer sure spent a lot of time talking about what people were wearing.

Actually not too bad of a read (barf)....sorry, pardon me...it actually did show that Trump’s appeal cross many different types of people and issues. What does ring clear, though, is people can sense something is not right, it’s palpable, and they see Trump as someone who may not fix everything, but certainly has what is needed to start turning the ship around.

——faux-populist appeals ——

I would say unequivocally that Trump is never faux. he is the genuine article

The author somehow ferreted out the yankees in the charleston crowd. in so doing, he missed the southern charm that most certainly dominated those in the line.

the one theme that permeated the piece was individual initiative. those quoted were small business people, even the yankee doctor that escaped Massachusetts
