Thursday on “CBS This Morning†while discussing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump hinting at a third-party run, Peggy Noonan, a former speech writer for President Ronald Reagan and weekly columnist for The Wall Street Journal, said the Republican Party is in a “delicate†position because they can’t afford to ostracize Trump’s supporters.

They CAN win with Trump, THEY don’t want Trump, and without Trump, GOPE has no base, they are finished...if Trump wins, GOPE is gone bye bye along with the RINO base...
Doesn’t matter whether Trump wins or loses, GOPE and RINO base are gone...

As usual, Noonan is about half right.
I hope the Trump enthusiasts recognize that if we nominate him instead of Cruz and Trump makes a fool of himself and loses to Hillary, then we will have given up any chance we ever had to challenge the establishment of the Party. Any time we try, all they will have to say is “remember Trump” and we are toast.

These folks are relying on polls which is laughable since in recent years they have often been useless.
When we had a landline, and I received polling calls, I never ever told the whole truth. If I knew it was a Democrat poll I really went to town on them with all kinds of baloney. I suspect I am not alone.
Who knows but maybe a VP deal will struck.
The GOPe can work with Hillary. She's cut from the same cloth they are.
I didn’t read the article. Did she accuse Trump of lauding internment camps? He didn’t. He simply pointed out that a Democrat had created them. He explicitly said he wasn’t interested in that. Although, they might be nice camps - full of marble and gold with a big “T”!

Thing is, Trump will get more than 19% of the vote. And if Rubio or Yeb is the Republican nominee, I could see Trump asking Cruz to run with him.
I don’t think we can deal with another McCain/Palin ticket, where Cruz is brought in to be Rubio’s VP.
Understand that when Peggy says “The GOP” can’t win, what she really means is that nobody in her GOPe cocktail party set thinks so. I’m sure that the dinosaurs stuck in the La Brea Tar Pits were howling that the end of the world was nigh, but it wasn’t “the” world, just their world.
There are a lot of people like that. Frum comes to mind. People who write great, literary-quality speeches when they are told what to write. Then, when they are on their own, and the ideas have to come from their own brains, the writing is still good, but the ideas suck.
Funny thing is, I used to have to write for a RINO senator when I was a fire-breathing conservative. Letters, some speeches, position papers. It was not easy, but I tried to mold it more my way as much as I could. It would be funny if GOPe types read any article I might write, they would say, "Dang, he used to write good stuff."
Noonan doesn’t have a clue how people west of the Hudson River think!
Who gives a crap what the establishment does? There are more of us than there are of them. Your kind of thinking brought us where we are today.
Just keep voting for the lessor evil and our Free Republic will surely die.
This is our LAST chance to save it.
Only chance for America to survive is Trump. Rest of the Trump haters are hard core communists. The people of America wants Trump. Only communists would go against the people.
